Any Perth guys willing to show around a canadian?

I've been in Perth for about 4 or 5 days now, and am looking to meet some people who are into progressive, but have found only the hard dance scene, and lots of punks of course. If someone is willing to show a Canadian around here, i'd be very grateful. I'm living in Scarbourough, and I've brought some recs to play but have no where to play them! Anyways, pm if you can help.

Is Funky Friday still on? I know there was some tech-house/ breaks/ prog night on @ The Apartment, East Perth but I'm not sure if they're still doing it. I was running a similar night at the White Sands, Scarborough a couple of months ago but we got canned due to lack of interest.
