Novation SuperNova II
anyone use, or know much about this hard synth? worth getting?
The Supernova 2 is one of my favorites.. although I dont own one I think it has superb sound.. and really depends on what kinda tracks you produce..
Future Music gave it 10/10..
To hear the possible sounds of it (if u havent heard already) vengeance makes awesome soundbanks for synths.. Supernova 2 Blue Magic Sound
I would sit down and do a google search for it (if u havent already) and just compare each synth in that price range.. because when purchasing a new synth you dont want to get disappointed with what you purchase.

Reads some reviews..
In my opinion it looks nice and sounds nice.. But thats just me.
DJ-Rob,
Heya thanks for the reply, it does sound good, buddy of mine, is downsizeing his studio, and he has a 24 voice version, he will let me get at a GOOD!! Price. 800$.. he lives a couple of hours away, he don't produce Trance tho, so he don't need it he thinks. I wanna start producing Trance. I already have a JP-8000 and Virus KC, but someone told me also about the SuperNova II . I think i might get it.

800$ vs $2,000 new. can't go wrong.

..the jp has great sounds, virus is a classic..
DJ Rob,
Heya, someone told me dunno if it's true or not, the 4 Must Hardware Synths are:
JP-8000 or 8080
Virus KC
Supernova II
and Waldorf Q/Q+
As far as Monitors, I got a decent Pair of Behringer Truth's.
I think i will get the Keyboard, can't pass up the deal, and I feel, that I can spread the sound's with all 3 keyboards

Well SuperNova II is on the way
!!!!!!!!!!
$800!!! Fear!!!! hehe
not that it matters, plus I think I am only a minority here, but for some reason I started to believe that SNII does sound a bit "cold" lately. I also have JP8080, KC, and SNII (plus JD800) but for some reason I am not in agreement with SNII lately. It just doesn't impress me as much as it used to.
It has some decent sounds but out of the box - you have to tinker with them to get what you want to hear, if you're lucky. I use it sparsely, devoting most of the time I do play to the Virus.
Just a thought and a counterpoint.![]()
