Participation is mandatory of course. Vodka or other such hard alochol are acceptable substitutions for beer.

The President gives a nice speech, and the Democrats pick a deer in the headlights to respond.

Talking

Ahh what a speech!!! Makes me tear up inside form all the proud feelings

Ahh I'd marry the guy if I could... but he mentioned something about disconstitutionalmentizing gay marriage for 2, I mean 10 years or another...

Past the usual rhetoric the prez's speech was alright. His oratory skills have definetely improved since the last two state of the unions. It's too bad his speech was primarily geared towards securing the conservative vote. Nancy Pelosi's speech sucked ass. It was really really terrible. And she was really terrible to look at. Daschle did a far better job, and I liked parts of his speech.

So many standing ovations ... so buzzed.

one of things i agreed with him was him saying marriage is to be sacred and yadayadayada.. my conservative side shows there.

I liked his prison initiative.

There were two things I was looking for him to address that he didn't:

The deficit: He touched up on it lightly. I wasn't satisfied with his answer. Who doesn't want to cut back on wastful spending? Name one politician who has campaigned on a platform of wastful spending. So Mr. Prez, would you care to go into specifics on how you're going to cut back on wasteful spending??? I didn't think so you fiscal democrat .

the space program: Didn't talk about it at all. I know there were more important issues at hand but I'm just biased towards that sort of thing
