Music 4 a harder generation: Mixed By Andy Farley

ne one got this yet? CD 2 looks well tuff. Looking at the tracklist he seems to be incorporating more techno than usual.

At least bother to include the tracklist so people can see for themselves what you're on about.

Enough sour grapes, here's the tracklist:

CD 1

1. True Suspension - Steve Thomas & Jon Mills
2. Gravity Trap (Ingo Mix) - One
3. Samba (10pm Mix) - Ali Wilson & Matt Smallwood
4. South Syntral - Ant & K.N.
5. Fluff Me Up - BK & Andy Farley
6. Everybody's Hardcore - Paul Maddox & Jon Rundell
7. Hardback - Anne Savage & Sterling Moss
8. The Feeling - D-Tek
9. Run Jenji (Chris Liberator Mix) - Numbskulls
10. Don't Stop The Groove - Dave the Drummer & Andy Farley
11. Impactor (AA Mix) - Ant
12. Addict - Paul Janes & Andy Farley
13. Decimal Dust (Colin Barrett Mix) - Defective Audio
14. Kill Bill - Club Digital & Danny Gilligan
15. Meltdown (BK & Dave Randall Mix) - The Project
16. RAW 020 (A1) - Guy McAffer & Rackitt
17. You Don't Stop - Colin Barratt

CD 2

1. He Never Lost His Hardcore (Nick Sentience Remix) - NRG
2. Mercy (OD404 Remix) - Tara Reynolds
3. Hydraulix 22 (A1) - Dave the Drummer
4. Critical Phase - Nick Sentience & Ali Wilson
5. Here's Johnny (Andy Farley Remix) - Prime Mover
6. Sharkbait - Defective Audio
7. M.B.S. - Dave The Drummer & Andy Farley
8. Overload - The Alien Thing
9. Thunda - Andy Farley
10. Baloney (Raw Mix) - Lectrolux
11. No More (OD404 mix) - Equinox
12. WC2 - Karim
13. Fuck 'Em All - Trauma vs Paul Glazby
14. Charlatan - Mark Kavanagh
15. Efini - Lab 4

I really like Andy's techy take on hard house, and this looks like a splendid show case of just that. Will deffo check it out.

I'm not particularly a fan of Farley's. I didn't know there was a MFTHG 3.

well when i interviewed Nick Rafferty he said to expect a lot of dj's going on a more harder techno trip and if this is the start of some doing it, then long may it continue

yeah, tight cd (suprisingly for tidy )

my fav's are
Defective Audio - Decimal Dust (Colin Barratt Mix)
NRG - Never Lost His Hardcore (Nick Sentience Remix)
Nick Sentience & Ali Wilson - Critical Phase
The Alien Thing - Overload
Equinox - No More (OD404 Mix)
Trauma vs Glazby - Fuck Em All
Mark Kavanagh - Charlatan

seeing Farley this w/e on this cd tour 'launch' should be great.

edit; wonder why farley put the OD404 Mix of Mercy on there... original owns it x2

The original is definately better! critical is nice an dirty too

the only reason tidy did well on this comp is that hardly any of the tunes are on the Tidy Label!!

as for the hard house scene - lots of more techy influences now - and its only going to get moreso, learn to live with it and love it!
