Christopher Lawrence??

I'm going to a party in February where he's gonna be headlining. I dont have alot of background on him, any sets i can find that really describe his style of music on the decks?

i may be wrong?

No, no, no. That was a very unusual coproduction. Lawrence's solo productions are all dark, trippy progressive trance.

Christopher Lawrence is my third or second favorite DJ on the planet. He plays hypnotic, hard progressive trance in the "desert trance" style that emerged from the southwest American rave scene in the '90s. He does not play uplifting trance. He does not play progressive house. But he does play a very distinct underground style of progressive trance that you won't be disappointed by. Chances are you won't recognize the majority of the records he plays. Plus he mixes almost flawlessly.

Check out his mix CDs, or try to download one of the infrequent live recordings that make it to the net. Or just wait; I think that's better, myself, if you haven't heard him before.

Saw the guy live...He is alright! I couldn't stand him for any longer than one hour! A few good tunes here and there, ex. Igor S - Boomerang.
The guy spins hard trance/house, simply hard. Cool guy and everything but I got fed up with all the hard shit he played...

his mixing is top-notch, but I don't really like his style.

the style he spins is dirty trance...its techy yet progressive, he has a very unique sound to his sets...worth checking out

Christopher Lawrence is awesome, he is in my top 5 all time favorite DJs/Producers, his style is hard to describe, Times I've seen him live, he's played deep progressive trance, dark tech-trance, some upbeat progressive trance, little epic trance, hard trance and hard tech-trance. No HardHouse Ever and some of the progressive trance tunes he plays do tend to be somewhat uplifting and very melodic.

Some of my favorite productions from him are:

October's Child
Nitro
Mind Eraser
Cruise Control
Ride The Light
Navigator
Neodog

Favorite CD albums from CL:
Exposure IV
Around The World
United States Of Trance 2001/Christopher Lawrence

Be sure to wear comfortable yet suitable for long periods of dancing shoes, 'cause dancing you will, pretty much for his entire set,

Cheers...
