Im talking to this girl who sing on the song Driftin away by Lange

Does anyone knows this song ? Is it out yet or not

Lange-Driftin away

Does she have a good voice?

Posted by Sand Leaper on Jan-21-2004 18:36:

The vocalist for Driftin Away is called Leah, and it got released about 2 years ago I think. She's not a very good vocalist IMO, her voice is lacking in terms of power and uniqueness.

Why on earth would I think that is the reason for her voice lacking?

uhh wtf?
The topic of this thread is pretty confusing...and that song is super fucking old.

Sometimes I wish that people were required to pass a basic grammar course in order to join TA.

wait, so did she... or not sing "dont think it feel it" ?

Why don't you just download a sample of the tune? You could've asked her if it was or or not and then searched for it yourself

Unless you want a biscuit for speaking with her. In this case, this dog has more chances of getting it than you have:

Yeah that song is pretty damn old. I recall listening to it back when I was just getting into trance around 1999.

Her voice is shit, and it doesn't suit trance. Not that i'd call Drifing Away trance anyway, cos it's just commercial crap imo. Never liked it even before it was released in the charts.

Lange's Sunset Dub aint bad..not that im defending this tune but how is this track commercial crap and not vengaboys - kiss[airscape remix] you have 2 copies of ? not flaming you at all just dont get your logic on calling things commercial crap..

I called it commercial because it was released in the UK charts. I didn't mean that at all in a derogatory sense, but I think the tune is shit, and appeals more to the 'cheesy dance' masses than in a trance club.

Vengaboys - Kiss (Airscape Mix), there is no doubt about it, it's cheese to the max. But in a good way. It's like, Wolfsheim - Wundervoll (Blank & Jones Remix). I fecking love it, but its pure edam in a good way. Try listening to Tieso's Energy 2000 set (i'm sure you have already) but that tune just belongs in an uplifting trance set. Drifting Away doesn't, simple as.

My 2 Pence.

Maybe you're thinking of Lange - I Believe? Drifting Away was released in late 2001/early 2002. It was featured on Ferry Corsten's 2002 release Globaltransmissions 2

fair enuff.. so it was a personal preference issue.. drifting away's vocal is what kills it imo.. cant and never had the impact kiss had.. however, like i said Lange's Sunset Dub is a quality production.. no vocals and totally different from the original.. def. not an anthem like kiss but works well in a trance set..

It's old, but I can still listen to it just fine.

Impress your honey by downloading it and playing it for her!
That oughta be worth a few cheese points at least...

this track isn't cheese or shit. stop bitching it

It's definitely on my list of songs that will promote tooth decay.

In fact, that's why I like the vocals on that song. Cranked up in your headphones it's wicked escapism. So if you're speaking to Skye give my kudos.

Lange's productions are very over-the-top and giddy at the same time. Either you love his work or hate it.

How do you pronounce his name anyway? Does it rhyme with 'bang' or 'flanger'?
