Dog Running Puppies!

So I've been wanting a Yorkshire Terrier for a while now, so my parents promised me one for Christmas.... Yesterday I finally went to get her and she cried all the way home, I felt so bad for her, and so did my mom... Because 30 minutes later my mom decided it was lonely so she wanted to buy her sister too (note that they were $650 EACH) so now we have 2 puppies of 8 weeks old...

They're just adorable, look like little bears, 2 tiny furballs and their names are Lilly and Luna... The only thing is, they are so tiny I'm so afraid of them getting hurt... So last night we put them in the area next to the kitchen because it's tiled floor there so it's ok if they poop and stuff there, but they cried so much we moved them to the living room... Then in the middle of the night they were crying so at 5 am i finally came to them and they cried if it even seemed like I was leaving... plus lilly was kind of sick with phlegm and diarrhea... So I've been cleaning puppy boo-boo's all day...

They are just adorable so I don't really mind but I see it happening that they're going to be spoiled because we feel so sorry for them when they cry... So did any of you guys know puppies were so much work???

How did you teach them to "go" on the paper? *lol*
How do you know that when they're playing the little "biting each other game" that they're not really hurting themselves??
Will my dogs hate me if i let them cry because they have to learn to sleep there?

HELP!!! I feel like a bad mommy

With my puppy, we found he prefered to do his business on a particular spot of the floor. So you put a large section of newspaper down on that spot. If you notice them about to go on the floor somewhere other than the paper, pick them up and put them on the paper, or scold them (you dont have to be mean, just a solid "no" will do). When they do go on the paper, reward them with a dog biscuit or some other treat. DON'T treat them otherwise, make them actually work for their treats while they are learning. Eventually they should keep it on the paper. If they are getting to the point where they go on the paper most of the time, but do miss, scold them for missing. Make sure they understand you dont want shit on the floor!

Once you have them trained to go only on the paper, begin making the area of paper smaller, gradually. Make sure you scold them if they do shit on the floor or something, and continue to give them treats when they dont. Eventually, as the area of paper gets smaller, start taking them outside to shit and piss, and start giving them treats for doing it outside instead of inside. Assuming they're mostly using the paper still at this point, keep removing paper until your left with a small area. At this point take them outside as much as you can and treat them well for going outside. Finally, remove all paper, and only take them outside to go. If they shit on the floor, scold them. During this time make sure you take them out very frequently so they understand they need to go outside. Give them shit for not holding it and going on the floor. Treat them for doing it outside. Eventually they will learn to hold it until they can get outside.

Worked for me

rite, we've got 3 dogs, Fionn, Millie, Madra

Fionn = Springer Spaniel (best dog ever)
Millie = West Highland Terrier
Madra - Millie's bastard child. dunno wtf she is.

all puppies cry for the first few nites when they're away from their mother, jst let them cry and whimper all nite.

then in the morn they're usually glad to see u. so b nice to them then, but dont over do it with the puppy lovin as they'llonly end up bein spoilt.

shittin:

will take a while, we've never really got our gogs to shit on paper, but after a few weeks of gettin their noses dipped into shit that's inside the house they usually do their shits outside (where they dont get their noses dipped in shit)

ooh yeah, $650 / pup.. expencive.. me = v. pissed off that we got millie spayed.. as she's a show dog..

bollox!
