Marco V started to spin at the age of 14. By 1996 he was installed as the resident of "De Danssalon" which soon became the most renowned Friday night in Holland. Shortly after he met his producing partner, Benjamin Bates and began producing tracks. This is when his talents were acknowledged on the worldwide stage. Winning performances in the UK at Godskitchen, Slinky, Gallery and Gatecrasher have helped to elevate his popularity. Marco is extremely talented with the unique ability to lead the tech trance movement. His style appeals to followers of techno, trance and even hard house. Last year release of a double CD album titled ConFusion. Be prepared Vancouver as MARCO V graces the decks of Insomnia.

Scot Project has worked with numerous highly successful productions, a favored artist of this music genre and an essential part of the Trance world. I don't go to many raves but I'll most likely be going to this one. The production at their PNE party was fucking awesome; a light show worthy of a european massive.

Oh, and as a DJ to see at this party, how about Sean Walsh. I hear that guy rules! =P

I guess those aren't really rave dj's but they would definitely be "something fresh and innovative" compared to the usual headliners. And I would be there in 2 seconds flat.

If I had to think of some more normal doods...
DJ Rush (just because I can't see DJ preach and I want a techno fix)
Astral Projection Live (no need to explain)

Pleeeeease have unnormal people (I know it doesn't make much sense from your perspective because you want to make money) but it would be so rad to see some guys that aren't the usual Vancouver headliners.

Its not that he will only play Twisted shows. But Twisted brings him in on a semi regular basis. So if 'Solid Corp' where to bring him in they would basically be stealing one of Twisted's headliners. If you noticed most promoters have a certain group of DJs that they bring in all the time, so they are their 'regular headliners'. I remember IMF, the line-up had to change a couple times because the had booked some of the other promoters 'regular headliners' and a few of them got pissed off. Its kinda a respect issue. I don't know if it is different in other cities but thats the way it works here.

There is more to it than that but thats pretty much the jist of it.

I can definitely tell you people in this city warm up to it, just has to be the right kind of techno. When I play at Viva everyone is usually flailing like crazy

05) Gabriel and Dresden (Progressive house/progressive trance)

That's a great list, but aside from a few guys in there, its already been done etc, something fresh is what's needed. Seems like every big party has the same guys playing, its just a different holiday.

Jesten, that makes sense, it just kind of sucks.

And yea rev, some techno is in dire need, I know that Preach is coming and is going to satisfy the clubbing crowd for a while, but I'm guessing there are a load of people that want some techno, but just don't go clubbing or, aren't 19 (ok so maybe its just me and uxud that aren't of age but whatevs )

Having a nice psy headliner would be a real cool change, I know IM was in like Edmonton or Calgary or something just a while ago, but I don't think Vancouver has seen a headliner for a bit (I might be mistaken on that one). Plus, imagine how much all the etards would just love some stomping psytrance.

(Picotto would have been nice too ) As for psy...Astral Projection would be incredible, if they could be brought in for a live PA? I don't know too many other psy DJs but DEFINITELY bring in some psytrance...'
