philadelphia, NYC parties?

a couple of my friends and I want to go record shopping in philly or NYC from the DC/MD/VA area. anybody know where i can find some info on good clubs that will be spinning a wide variety of good dance music (techno/breaks/jungle/trance/house/anything electronic) for weekends in february or january (if there are any left - what's the date ). basically i'm looking for a website that might have some info on which dj's are at which parties in NYC and philly - or maybe you can post a reply with a party you're going to any of these weekends.

sorry if this informatino is alraedy posted somewhere - having a hard time finding it.

i *heard* there is some new club in philly called emerald city. but i've never been there and theres a good possbility its pure cheese. i know jonathan peters spun there awhile back, so i'm not sure if this is something of interest. as for nyc, i'd check out avalon, arc, or crobar. they all rock. good luck!

Yup.

There isnt really anything that caters to the "music" crowd in Philly. Unless you like Breaks. Then you have Discobotz on the 2nd Wed. of the month at the 5 Spot, and Funk Rock on the 3rd Friday at Fluid.

I'm doing a trance party on the 31st at Goosebumps.
