maybe my understanding of the term resident dj is off.... i thought resident djs are the ones who are at the clubs every other weekend if not every weekend, also they are the ones to open for headliners....

Sander Kleinenberg (prog)
Satoshii Tomei (house)
Roger Sanchez (house)

exactly how often are they playing at stereo?

these guys have contracts to play every two months, its a bi-monthly residency.

Even the local djs don't play every week in their club, its a whole lot different from the mark-oliver-at-guv-every-damn-week-for-the-last-7-years concept.

mecha: to be honest, from all the residents aria have, she's the lowest ranked in my book.

Posted by Flec on Jan-23-2004 21:35:

ah makes sense now i was pretty sure thats waht u meant anyways

its not just mark oliver in toronto.... most clubs in toronto have bi- weekly residents

I know, i was trying to make fun of him

Sytems has a good rotation of local resident. Afterhours in montreal apply the same system.

good for you

Stereo has just added a "quaterly residency", which i find a bit stretching the concept, to Tom Stephan.

Posted by Kate Manus on Jan-25-2004 22:30:

Quarterly? hehehe

SO I guess that practically qualifies Mauro Picotto as a quarterly resident @ Aria.. as of the past year.

but yes Malek I agree.. that *is* stretching it a bit.

I like the current rotations for residents @ Aria anyway.. especially DJ Dan's residency!!

Wouldnt have it any other way. No two weeks are the same.
