I Am Cooler Than You All!

Thats right, im way cooler than all you. Because from now on, im not going to play trance, im not going to play progressive, im not going to play tribal tech house, and im going to go one better than gumble playing "electro art house shit". WHAT IS HE GOING TO PLAY? you ask. Well, even if you didnt, too bad, because im going to tell you. You know why? Because im cooler than you, my facial stubble is more strokable than yours and my genre of music is less accepted than yours, AND THEREFORE COOLER.

I think we have all noticed the trend that the more minimal the music you play is, the more respect you think you get. This guy figured it out before anyone, and because i play his music, i guess he is cooler than me, BUT IM COOLER THAN YOU.

Thats right cheese lovers (Yes, tribal tech house is now considered cheese, as shown by the recent cheese poll, WHICH I WAS TOO COOL TO VOTE ON I MIGHT ADD) Phillip Glass, the king of minimalism. You will all now bow down before me, and worship any turntables i touch. Sorry to upset a lot of you, but I am now the coolest on this board, my musical tastes are better than yours, and that obviously makes me a better person. You should be honoured to read my words humble peasant cheese lovers.

Im going to post some more images and reply to my own post, because im so fucking cool.

Look at how deep that picture is, just the music. You can tell he is thinking about pressing issues, like whats the best way to be cooler than anyone else, and then expressing it through music. Thats why i like it, because i play it, therefore im cool.

So involved with the minimalism that is paper. He isnt even looking at that piano. He doesnt need to use to express his deep and cool tracks. Thats how good this shit is. I mean woah. I'd apologise for how big this image is, AND NOT MINIMAL AND THUS NOT COOL, but fuck it, im too cool to go around apologising to people.

Posted by gumble on Jan-24-2004 04:53:

haha

so im 2nd best?

and, yes, you are now the coolest.

I Shouldnt be doing this, but here is an excerpt from my newest track, from my latest mix. You dont have it? Exactly, you arnt cool enough. Here is your chance to hear cool, just for a little bit. If you want a copy of my mix, then you have to be cooler than me. Thats why Phillip Glass is the only one who is ever getting my mix. Ever.

Ok it appears that tranceaddict isnt cool enough to host this sample from my mix. Thats fine, i understand that some servers arnt able to handle the amazing coolness of it.

PREPARE TO BE COOLED

Posted by nicknack on Jan-24-2004 05:31:

Your latest track has left me in a state of awe. In fact, I'm in sheer disbelief at its ability to touch and move the human psyche in unparalleled and in-explainable ways! Tonal silence, in its purest form!

However, my latest track entitled " "

DOWLOAD HERE

is the sheer epitome and definition of minimalism and outright coolness.

Now you may frustratingly be asking yourself why that link doesn't work, or why there isn't even a link at all. Your frantic pleas and attempts to find a link within this post may have left you with an acute case of carpel tunnel syndrome as you repetitively click every character in a vague attempt to discover just how minimalistic my latest track is.

But the harsh reality of my minimalistic ways has led me to believe that the greatest form of minimalism should convey nothing at all. That's right. Absoloutly fucking nothing. It shouldn't provide a link. It shouldnt force windows to download an audio file. And it most certainly shouldn't be capable of playing in winamp or windows media player you un-minimalistic fool!

Youre ideas are both intriguing and minimal, i would like to subscribe to your news letter.

While you arnt as cool as me gelatinpuff, you certainly are a lot cooler than a lot of the other people here. Minimalism forever (or never.)

ahhh funny you should mention that i was JUST listening too Paul Mooney (famous black comedian, wrote for eddie murphy, richard prior at thier prime) he was paying out on hammer for being a black man "dancing for a piece of chicken" (hammer did some kfc commercials)

"if hammer wants a motherfucking piece of chicken go to his grandmas house she will fry up some shit 10 times better then that popcorn shiteeee!"

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehehehhee its from the album "race" get it

Posted by Tweak on Jan-29-2004 08:49:

Paul Mooney is hella funny, you can see him on the 'Ask a Black Man' segment on the Dave Chappelle Show, after South Park prolly

Posted by Philby on Jan-30-2004 02:27:

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard
And they're like, it's better than yours
Damn right it's better than yours
I could teach you but I have to charge

minimalism owns you all

Posted by [ groovypants ] on Jan-31-2004 14:10:

Has anyone here been to a live minimalistic performance?
It's actually freaky stuff! You feel as though you're in a place where you shouldnt be.
Performing minimalistic works [with other people] though, is actually quite cool! Add improvisation to the bowl and it's some chaotic fun!

One thing I must mention to all this coolness is that John Cage owns you all.
For a big [and hyped] recital, he sat @ the piano, and played absolutely nothing. Yes that is right, he sat there, closed his eyes, and listened to silence [with everybody else].

Though, I don't think Mr Cage looked anywhere near as cool as Mr Glass!

Posted by -=M=- on Feb-01-2004 12:15:

man minimalisticism is just bullshit... i cant stand religion
