[Tech-Trance]Vital - Outblast

Hi guys,

Just wanted to share my latest production with you guys. It's a combination of a bit of techno with trance. I got the idea for this track a few years ago, but I only worked it out these last weeks. I've made it with FL Studio 4.5.1 and some VST's and samples off course. Took me way too long, but I'm quite happy with the result.

Vital - Outblast

Hope to hear some feedback!

Hey mate, there's no link to your song on that page, just so you know. I had to run a search for outblast to find it.

Percussion sounds very strong, nice kick too. Perc pattern is okay.

The lead/bassline is groovin also.

By 2 minutes, percussion has gotten a bir repetitive. Some little change ups and stuff would be nice.

Main melody is pretty nasty. Very dark sounding, which is cool with me. But I think the perc stops the track from flowing as much as it could.

Otherwise I like it. Nice work

Percussion after the second breakdown now sounds better. More driving/energetic. Not sure if it has changed or its just me.

Sorry about that, changed the link.

And my god, I didn't expect such an enthousiastic reaction.
Thanx for the compliments.

And about playing the track out live, I only can say: YES!!!
More exposure and people enjoying my music, that's what I produce music for! When you do play it in fron of an audience, let me know how the people react to the track, because I'm very curious about that.

This is great man, right up my alley. It's lacking a little sub-bass and possibly a couple of percussive layers, but aside from that I absolutely love this and I think I might try to do a bit of a rework of it.

Good job man, this is great.

Ste told me to check out your song, so I did, and I must say that this is a pretty wicked track!

Very hard, dark, and pounding, exactly what I am looking for these days. Keep up the excellent work!

I shall be burning this one to CD! Well done, not sounding bad.

Thanx for the great reactions guys! Really appreciate this. I will be sending this track along with some others to labels in the near future. Especially after the great reactions of you, I think some labels might be interested.

Shit, forgot to leave my reply.

Yeah, I'm also of the opinion that it is a great track. Definitely grew on me after a few listens. Great work!

Posted by BelgianGuru on Jan-28-2004 11:19:

Way to go, I like it very much !

Posted by Darrax on Jan-28-2004 15:33:

As Fundamental said there is less people probally into Tech Trance than the other styles of Trance.

However the tune itself...omg... it's class mate.

I love that bass (as does everybody else I think).

Darrax...

Wow! Here's my comments.

-Loved the kicks, instantly!
-I like the Sound Effects, and the soft pads.
-The synths have a professional sound.
-Great powerful snare build!

The build up at 2:23 was pretty cool too. There are many minimal elements to this track, but it does contain some power because of the elements I mentioned above.

This is right up my alley mate. I like this kinda 'tech' sound! Great job!

Cool song! I like the perc, when everything kicks in!

5:38 is amazing!

Good job on this one!

Great track. Love the aggressive feel, reminds me of KoxBox

Quality track you have here, sounds very clear.

The tiny things and details like the pads and some percussion give some extra sphere, the ears stay excited. Good ferm beat, which is a hype at the moment, i think. And good rythm to dance on.

We call it real good shit so we can "lekker pompen".

Posted by Sirocco on Jan-29-2004 23:08:

great track, outstanding.

just need sub bass and minor polish and you will knock people on there feet (it probobly already will as is but it sounded like a cool thing to say) would like to see more techtrance on these forums. i will be making some as soon as i save for my macki 824s

This track rocks. Look for a label. Some remixes would be outstanding.

Posted by refuge on Jan-30-2004 13:35:

... you should seriously consider sending a demo out to marcel woods, randy katana and marco v.

this song would fit into one of their sets splendidly ...

Hmmm, KoxBox, never heard of it. Maybe I should check them out for some inspiration for a new song!
