Why do people get autographs?
Whats the point in getting a celebrities autograph?
I dont understand it myself. It would annoy the hell out of me to sign autographs every time I went out in public. And what do you do with the autograph once youv'e got it??? sits in a drawer for ever.
I have seen people get autographed on their hands and arms or backs ffs. What is the god damn point!
It depends where you have the signature. If its in a poster, card, comic, picture its worth money. No point in getting it in the body though.
ohh my gosh.. no kidding huh.. never have i gotten an autograph.. or nor have i wanted one... cuz what would i do with it... sniff it or freaking stare at it for endless hours.. heheheh doesnt interest me at allll. Poor celebs
I don't really care for autographs, but I have David Cone's signature
I have no desire receiving, but I wouldn't mind giving autographs

I had a disscussion about this with a mate, the only point I could see to them was that it proovces you've met someone, but I know someone who brought Jim Careys autograph off eBay, I was just like WTF!!! He has hung it on the wall, he couldve got a poster (Not of Jim Carey hopefully) it wouldve been cheaper and nicer to look at.
well why do people collect stamps???? or coins??
i thinkl a lot of people who have autographs try collecting them and its a nice thing. body autographs = stupid...
why would i want an autograph?
TBH, i don't actually know, i got PVD to sign my reflections cd when i went to germany. I don't know why i wanted it, just did
like an autographed football, or hockey stick wouild be kinda cool, or an autogrpahed book maybe, but definatly not just on a piece of paper or something.
getting a record signed by tiesto or sumf would make it all that more special, dont you think?
or like a hockey stick or something like that, signed by ur idol would make it all that more special too..
but yeah, i dont understand getting a piece of paper or ur body signed.. no point
I think there's a difference between getting a celeb to write 'dear cindy, you're the greatest' and an artist signing his or her work. Autographs are just supply and demand, the world is hooked on celebrities and their glamorous (
) lives. An autographed 1924 Yankee World Series Ball is worth 24k, go figure. I've got a Maurice Richard signed hockey stick that I'm hanging on to for 50 years hehehe.
i want tiesto to sign my hockey stick
I've got him tied up in my basement, you want an autograph?
I know someone who wanted someone famous to autograph his body... then he was going to have it tatooed. A permanent reminder.
He never did it though.
i aint got any autograph from anyone and quite frankly, i dont want one, its pointless, its a bit of ink...

I love getting autographs. I use them to forge cheques. Celebrities have deep pockets.
Autographs are ok. It's not like I'm obesessed with celebrities or anything but when you see the DJ come down from the booth after spinning and he's signing shit, why not go up there with your ticket stub or something? At the very least it gives you the chance to chat with him for a bit or shake his hand or something.
I have two significant autographs. Armin's and Marc Oliver's. Marc Oliver wrote "I'm the best, Marc Oliver" on my ticket stub
... funnay.
As for value, well, aside from DigiNut's suggestion, I guess autographs only become valuable when the signers aren't around anymore so {b.s.e.}, keep a close eye on that stick, AND FOR GAWD'S SAKE DON'T USE IT!!!
Even if you're getting robbed and it's the only thing you have to defend yourself.
The only way i'd get an autograph is if i could sell it.
perhaps i should study the fine art of forging
This is the only thing i've ever had signed. It's the reflections promo. It was at godskitchen, and I had the album with me because we were listening to it on the way to see PvD. John McDaid from Vega 4 was doing his PA thing so I thought I may as well take the sleeve in with me and get it signed by both of them. Don't usually tho as I agree at the end of the day they are completely pointless. lol. Anything else in the past i've just given away to friends where it will mean more to them than me

Why? To increase value, maybe? Other than that it's all psychological. I dunno. Only autograph I have is a craig sompson oiler hockey card, and that's all mushed up in a box somewhere. Fuck simpson.
I think autopgraphs are pretty cool. I met Dane Cook (comedian) a couple months ago after one of his live shows. If you get a chance to see him live, you should definitely go. For those of you who apparently don't like autographs, think of it this way. If you saw DJ Tiesto and he asked you if you wanted his autograph on his Magik 6 CD that you conveniently brought with you to his performance, I can't really picture you saying, "No, that's alright."
