Love Poundin' Sensation choons for a wedding reception

hello,
My fiance and I are getting married shortly.. but you may of guessed by the title

Anyway we have been racking our brains thinking of good dance stlye tracks that would appeal to the common majority.
For example we were going to play "Pure shores - all saints".. BUT the version that fatboy made at the end of beach boutique.

Anyone have any other suggestions for us?

stick with the basics i guess, for a wedding, probably better if they hear tunes that arent too obscure

Paul van Dyk ft. Vega 4 - Time of Our Lives (club mix) - fitting as its your wedding, congrats btw
Elvis vs. Junkie XL - A Little Less Conversation
Delerium - Silence (Tiesto In Search of Sunrise remix)
Fatboy Slim - The Rockafeller Skank
Jaimy & Kenny D - Caught Me Running (Summerbreeze mix) (maybe)
Planet Perfecto - Bites Da Dust

Good question!
average age would be about 25-30 but only just. A few oldies still there :P

Thanks too, cheezit! practically got a squeel out of the other half. (She forgot about JXL!)

Salt Tank - Eugina

If i ever meet a girl that would let me have some trance at the wedding reception ... then i might get married too. You are lucky guy/girl eh

oceanlab - sky fall down

Paul van Dyk - Together We Will Conquer

Chics dig those tracks.

Iio - At the end
James Holden - Nothing
Blackwatch - loveless

or some cool housey stuff like..

Late night Alumni - Empty Streets <--- definently check this one out, very nice tune...
Deepest blue - Deepest blue

let me know what u think of any of the tracks, and ill post more that i know of that might help out more...

Congratulations and good luck with the wedding.

Anything by chicane

Posted by DJ A.i on Jan-26-2004 14:49:

if the age group is 25 to 30, i woujld suggest remixes of 80's new wave groups... such as depeche mode(dave gahan), petshop boys, cure, stuff like that... alot of dance/trance remixes out there of these groups.

groove armada - at the river
moby - porcelain

anything by groovearmada, basement jaxx, moby

you want them to play a track about suicide???!!

my personal recommendations would be:

modern talking - you're my heart, you're my soul

modern talking- you're not alone

chicane - saltwater

melanie C - I turn to you (hex hector mix)

planetfunk - chase the sun

rhythm of life - you put me in heaven with a touch (lange mix)

lost witness - happiness happening (lange mix)

space brothers - the legacy (matt darey mix)

technique - you & me (matt darey mix)

james holden - nothing (returning 93 mix)

and stuff like that. i would stay away from prog as that could be boring to those not used to hearing it, and i would also pick some stuff with not necessarily a 4/4 beat, since it could get overly repetative for the untrained ear otherwise. Those are songs i would want to hear at my wedding

good luck!

If I were to chose just 1 track to play, I would choose

MATT DAREY - Beautiful (Radio edit) or the (Steve Murano Mix) if you dont want a dancey tune

The lyrics mean something to suit the wedding too.
"Shining light will be my guide, takes me to a place where i dont need to hide... You are beautiful within...."

Isn't Time of Our Lives about the Israel/Palestine conflict?

Play Gouryella - Tenshi (Original mix) as you guys go up the walk way.
