I've tried several programs other than Winamp. I always come back to it because it's vastly superior in its simplicity and ease of use than anything else.

ahh.. space efficiency, it's great , it's like having a 2nd startbar... the guy did it in MS paint but it has an aesthetic appeal regardless.

you'll wonder why you ever wasted your time with those irregular shaped skins that take up way to much desktop space and are usually rather annoying.

Actually Sonique 1.96 with DFX 6.0 Plugin sounds very good. Sonique is also a fast prog, nice skins but it never got updated. I changed to Winamp Pro with Enhancer Plugin and sounds much better. But if you dont like winamp, Sonique isnt bad.

winamp has GOT to be the best piece of software ever written. i mean, the majority of people uses it, it's BLOODY EASY to use, and it NEVER crashes. NEVER. in 4 years it crashed maybe 4 times but because of dodgy plugins.

if i had to choose, sonique is pretty good, so is XMMS. haven't tried foobar.

realone is THE devil.

I've had problems with winamp, it really slows my pc down at work, but thena gian that is a shite pc, but here at home, it seems not start sometimes, and i have to reboot to get it going again.

can't say i dont lovie it though
