Endre - Kallocain

(Test-pressings out, final release date 1st March?.)

Finally released on Anjunabeats, Kallocain is written and produced by swedish tranceaddict Endre. If you haven't heard this, you might still just go and buy it anyway. It is a very simple track, which makes it easy to like. At the same time it's so good you could listen to it for several months. Some say it sounds similar to other trance tracks, but I say this is the most perfect of them. I haven't heard the remix yet, but that can wait till I recieve the vinyl. 10/10 to the original!

The 12" includes:
Original Mix
Robert Nickson Mix

it is no way a simple track, and i can't see why it would be similar to other tracks. the melody is too unconventional for that..

original is definitely best.
nickson's remix is way too much like the original..

This is not a bad thing at all.. Sometimes little improvements can make a track so much better!

Heard a sample of this at the Amateur Forum cant wait to get the vinyl..

Not a bad song, but it just doesn't really do anything for me. The song doesn't really build or leave you thinking 'what a great song'.

7/10 from me.

Posted by raditz on Jan-27-2004 19:01:

the song is great. I remember it from the days this was posted in the amateur forum, everyone loved it. The song is pretty solid, I just hate the begining of the original, it's quite ehh ... blah, it's a carnival of instruments there.

Now, robert nickson's remix wow, it's just perfect, it's exactly the little push the song needed. It's not a big of a remake of the song, I know, but what nickson made to it just completed it.

Original Mix 8/10
Robert Nickson Remix 9.9/10

PS: The reason I give it a 9.9 it's because i'm getting tired of the clap effect that robert's been using lately, tehe.

How fucking amazing is Bert's Remix. I kept listening to the little sample on ASOT 126 for ages, and now i'm glad I can finally purchase this. This is so far my fav track of 2004, so emotional. Great work boys.

10/10 for me

I prefer the nickson remix. I heard precision play this tune a LONG time ago. I figured it would be put on Somatic Sense... Ah Well!

It doesn't sound at all like other trance tracks. And it's not that simple as you think. It's hard enought to get an idea, and complete a track (and make a song you like)

Kallocain will be out 1st March.

this is mint, well nice refressing trance, not like all that formulaic all-sounds-the-same shite that is out there at the moment.

i prefer the original mix.

very average trance productions ... 7/10 for the both of 'em.

Well said, this tune is huge. The melody is very unique and gives it a subdued yet uplifting feel. I prefer Nickson's mix a bit but both are very very nice. Another winner for Anjunabeats.

Have your opinions, but I just explained how I see it

I'm not mad Besdies I meant the thing in a positive way. Too many armin-like artists (not to start a discussion on if Endre is Armin-like or not) are trying to be too advanced with their music, which makes many tunes boring to listen to. This one entertains me all through, and it gives me shivers when I haven't heard it in 2 days. Kallocain is perfect for my emotions right now, too! I'm going to love this for a long time!

Thank you, Endre!

i love both, but roberts mix really does it for me. the melody is great, so i give props to endre for coming up with it. i also like the vocal sample that was used, it gives the melody a nice touch. gawwgeous
