Blast From The Past, John Vesta - Gull...

is this not one of the best trance productions youve ever heard? i only really heard it recently and it has really blew me away.def. in top ten of all time.

i did a search on him earlier (real name John Horrocks)and was shocked to see that he committed suicide in 2001.terrible news.

apparently he collaborated with Amethyst and Poloaroid?

Has any one got any more information on John and wots your thoughts on 'Gull'?

Cheers guys...

Amethyst and Poloroid were John Horrocks and Lee Milleare. Amethyst were a very big name in the UK trance/progressive house scene during the mid 90's. They produced "So Damn Beautiful" in 1998.

John Horrocks apparently commited suicide in March 2001. From the sources I have, to this day nobody knows why.

Dope track, it's got that older sound in it that you never hear anymore. Picked it up for 5 bucks at a used record shop

ugh, sounded like he had so much more to offer

Posted by KristineClub on Jan-27-2004 06:33:

One of my old favs. Not really a favorite of mine anymore but still a classic.

an amazing tune... agreed, you don't really hear that "sound" these days.

That track that opened Oakenfold's Homelands , it was the perfect track to play at the beginning, telling everyone how awesome the set is going to be.
