only when dance music gets some exposure on MTV or any network, then there will be fans of the music. sadly, none of you lazy bastards is trying to help the exposure of dance music so untill the end of days dance will be in the shadow of rap and rock.

Uh, we don't need any more exposure thanks.

Well I didn't say that, did I? Exposure is one thing, being played on MTV is another...

Posted by []O=O[] on Jan-28-2004 03:59:

yeah i understand. lets MTV play rap and more and more people get fans of this music, but dance die out. i understand. if thats what you want.

Hey man, im doing my best to get the dance scene exposed, i'm gonna start making Flyers for a show on TAW and ETS. And i'm burning like 2 CDs a day of GDJB for people that havent heard Prog House. Im doing my part, are you doing yours?? I think not my little fuzzy friend

Posted by []O=O[] on Jan-28-2004 04:11:

nice to hear, but i will tell you what. dance needs to get some big exposure and surely TV is one thing to start. i am pretty mad that there isnt any respect for dance music on TV. not one show out of the million stuff they show.

I have the same problem. Sandstorm is the only popular song that people recognize around here (maybe DJ Sammy - Heaven comes in there in 2nd) and it's kinda stupid. A lot of people really like EDM... or "techno" as they call it... (to them, any synth track is techno), but they don't know what good dance music is out there because it doesn't get exposure on the radio or on MTV, etc. A lot of them search for it on KaZaA and end up with shitty cheese-dance music that sucks ass.

It would be nice if some quality trance got exposure and radio playtime... the only problem is that I think if people saw there was money in getting trance on MTV and radio, they'd start mass-producing it and the quality would degrade. If trance got played all the time, then too much crap trance would start to come out and it would dominate the airwaves and shut down the good, hard-working trance artists. Maybe no exposure is a good thing for us.

yeah dood,
you just gotta meet the right people...

seriously, i've lived in the most trance-desolate places...
and yet, i'll still find those that listen to and share the same musical interests...

when i find those people, they're like automatically my best friends for life...
it's amazing...
just have hope and keep looking that's all i can say...

Posted by []O=O[] on Jan-28-2004 04:31:

are u kidding? many artists saw trance as easy making music and thanks to Jan Wayne and a lot other crap artists we have bad quiality of trance. so why not take it further? what else can we lose?

lol... My GF!! When we were first getting together I couldn't believe that she was a trance listener... every other girl I've been with hated the stuff... then she told me that her favourite song was Lost Tribe - Gamemaster and I was like... HOLY SHIT!!! Great things have happened since.

Posted by []O=O[] on Jan-28-2004 04:42:

who cares if your gf likes trance or not. what? you like to fuck her while listening to trance?

seriously,
u meet people who listen to trance in the the craziest ways, yet they are hands down the coolest...

that's how i met my bf too actually...it's awesome
but through him and with us just being around each other and listening to it, we attract many other similar people to us...
when we randomly talk about it or listen to it in public places, people have alwayz confronted us and relationships have blossomed and grown through simply doing that...

Thank You

Posted by []O=O[] on Jan-28-2004 04:45:

fuck my gf to what one now? i dont get this part.

Posted by crchingtiger on Jan-28-2004 04:47:

i don't know about you...but being someone that has the same musical interests as you do makes ALLLLLL the difference...

Posted by []O=O[] on Jan-28-2004 04:50:

i dont understand why?

Posted by DJ_Elyot on Jan-28-2004 04:50:

So true. I've met many people with similar musical interests... we share music and it's a great way to make good, lasting friendships... strange how it happens but it's a wierd kinda comradery when you're all into the same music. Tho most of the time it's just people who are into shitty cheese-dance and I sorta convert them into full-fledged tranceaddicts. Just a few CDs and they're always like WOW... this stuff IS better than darude!

then instead of wasting your valuable time here, go out and get a good education then maybe you will one day understand what a tool you are being...

Have a nice day

Posted by SuperFarStucker on Jan-28-2004 04:53:

Isn't tron the tool that thought sasha was a girl? I say fuck exposure Anyone sufficiently interested in exploring music will eventually stumble upon trance and progressive. Whether they will like it is another issue

Posted by Tranc3 on Jan-28-2004 04:56:

I've found, generally speaking, that most people like some form of EDM, it's just a matter of getting them to listen to it. I just met someone the other day and had her listen to Bedrock - Emerald and James Holden - Horizons and she loved it.

exactly...
and once u change them and introduce them to more things, u feel like they're your protege? ya know?
it's so cool...
i have best friends at the moment, but i also have other best friends who i'll talk to my entire life just because we have the same musical interests and solely that...

i'm a tranceaddict, so are they, it's a big part of my life...a huge part of my life...
it's theirs too, that's y we bond...obviously...
