I kid around a lot, but this time I'm gonna be serious.

I know someone who took them. Side effects included copping a major attitude problem; serious to the point where he beat the shit out of his girlfriend in front of my very eyes. Increased aggression. He became a serious asshole on them. I've heard that your balls shrink if you take them, but I sure as hell wouldn't know. He hit me while on them and we got into a brawl...things got ugly. All in all, steroids are horrible.

well from what i read it makes you get acne really bad on your face, back and chest, its really bad for your liver and the aggresion thing is the main problem.. and also your balls do shrink while on your cycle.. but i just wanted to hear from somone who has taken them.. and also if the gains were worth the side effects

I have several friends who have taken cycles of steroids mainly because they have maxed out their genetic potential of getting bigger or stronger.

There many negative side effects...most notably liver damage, increase in aggression, increase in hair growth and supposedly reproductive system damage. There is also a general stress on the body because of the fact you are expanding into areas in which your body wouldn't be able to do naturally. The side effects depend on how much you take, i.e. a cycle side effects will prolly last about a couple months psychologically...physical damage tends to hang around longer and sometimes never heal.

I did forget to mention this.

I am not sure if this because of the steroids, but my 'friend' can't seem to lose weight, now...He used to be in shape but after taking the 'roids, he's gained pounds and can't lose them and has no change in diet. Heh...fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony. He was skinny, I was...overweight. Now, I'm skinny, and he's overweight.

Go to the forums at www.elitefitness.com, you'll find a wealth of info there.

Some symptoms include moodiness, trouble getting an erection, and some acne on the face or back. My boyfriend was just coming off them when we first started dating and it sucked. I almost broke up with him a few times because he was such an asshole all the time for no reason and picked fights. Stick to protein shakes and vitamins, they are better for you

bloody nose every morning - that's a fact.
agression.

at least that what i saw several years ago when i was living with my brother.

i don't take steroids, but i know a lot of bodybuilders and thought i'd clarify on some things...

on the shrinking nut thing:

yes it does happen. when you are on a cycle your testicles shrink because they basically stop producing testosterone. there is a drug you take at the end of your cycle to help reverse the effects, but i forget the name of it at the moment.

and the rest of what was said is pretty obvious:

acne
hair growth
moodiness
liver damage

and other stuff too, but that's the main ones i think everyone knows about..

You don't need a membership for the Anabolic forum. Only the the Elite Fitness Platinum forums.

This is the bottom line on 'roids: know someone on them? Stop them at all costs, or prepare for several bloody fights with them. Steal their wallets, break the needles, do whatever it takes, cuz this substance is a menace. The side effects, not to mention the razzing and stress from peers, are not worth the results.

I will never go through that shit again. If my 'friend' ever does it again, I will kick the shit out of him until my boots fall off.

Amongst the other negative side effects listed your blood cholestorol count goes through the roof. It is not uncommon to have a BC count in the 250's and 300's, which is unbelievably high. With gigantic increases in BC levels, major stress is given to your blood vessels, which can lead to blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks. There are a number of former users that can no longer walk or were forced to have leg amputations for blood clot reasons as a result of steroid use.

Of course this is worse case scenario, but there is an increased cholesterol level for pretty much every anabolic/HGH type steriod, as well as their given precursers.

Taken this in with the rest of the negative side effects, it has always been a big thumbs down for me, and I would never recommend them to anyone else.

Thx for the info. Even MORE reasons not to do 'roids. My idiot friend offered them to me when he was doing them, too! I told him, 'You fuckin' stupid or what?'
