percocet

just wondering what everyone else thinks about this drug. the other night i took one, drank about 8 beers, took another one, smoked 2 bowls of some really dank weed, and then took another one. i was not surprised that i woke up puking my guts out the next morning.

last night, took 2, had 2 glasses of wine, bumped another pill. puked.

today, took one, no alcohol, no weed, and i feel again like im gonna throw up. i keep making typos and generally cant think straight. and im not even that messed up.

my friends say that these are some of the best perscription drugs out there, but im really not impressed. then again, ive never really found a perscription drug that i did like.

just wondering if anyone else has tried these for recreational purposes and what they think of them. im sure not recomending them.

Depends on the dosage you take. Every person has a different reaction. I took two high mg dosage ones the other night so I could fall asleep because my body was so weak. *shrugs*

I don't reccommend them because you have to get the right dosage, and there are so many better drugs. Like... xanex <3 or half the other shit I take

It's okay Phil, we'll just get shitfaced on the seventh to make up for it

*shrugs*

Never heard of it.

IMO, stuff like this (Codeine, etc...) is better by itself. I usually find it more fun to just pop one or two and "float" for a bit ya know?

Of course, if you want to get tanked and you only have a few beers, this stuff could come in handy.

Moderation, dude. Of course you're gonna get sick if you drop pills, drink and smoke, lol. You act like you're surprised.

*sniff sniff*

doesnt it say not to consume with alcohol? maybe theres a reason behind that.

oh i knew it was gonna be a rough morning, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. i dont mess with prescrption drugs too much, and im kinda surprised that im feeling so shitty even though i only took one (and they are only 5mg) and havent drank or smoked anything (but cigs) today. oh well, i guess ill just have to stick with my normal drugs.

and sarah, about the 7th, he are definitly getting really really shitfaced, or at least I am.

Posted by mezzir on Jan-29-2004 10:39:

nah it might not've been the alchohol making you shitfaced
back when i got my wisdom teeth out they gave me endocet, basically the same thing
i took one that night before i went to sleep and i fell asleep great but i felt absolutely like shit for the next day and a half
and i figured it was just from the operation, but a week later i took one to fall asleep and the next day felt exactly the same way as i did the day after the operation
wasn't even good at killing pain or anything, it just made me feel like shit

FYI...

Percocet, or any drug ending with "-cet," contains Tylenol, known as acetaminophen. What you should know, is that you should NEVER, EVER mix alcohol and acetaminophen. Alcohol affects how your liver metabolizes acetaminophen and basically turns it into a poison, destroying your liver. If you'd like more information, do a search on acetaminophen-alochol syndrome. So, if you decide to do any drug ending in "-cet" (percocet, darvocet, ultracet, etc) don't drink too, or you'll be needing a new liver in no time.

Also, nausea is a very normal side effect of narcotics. Really the only way to stop it, short of using Zofran or Phenergan (anti-nausea medications), is to build up a tolerance. IMHO, I'd stick to other, more "recreational" drugs. Narcotics dependency is not pretty, only thing worse that I've seen is alcohol dependency/withdrawl.

Hope this helps.

Pretty much what he said. WebMD is a great site to find out all you need to know bout Rx.

Yeah, what Neophono said.

I took Percocet when I broke my arm. Didn't really seem to affect me either way, which I thought was weird.

I wouldn't really expect painkillers to have much use recreationally.

One of my friends once decided it was a good idea to take a shot of liquid perc, go out drinking at the bars, come back for an afterparty and take another shot. In about 3 minutes he lost voluntary control of his facial muscles so he couldn't speak or even open his eyes. It was pretty entertaining watching someone have to open their eyelids manually.

nice, reading through the thread first saved me a lot of typing for once. perc dependency isn't uncommon and it's very unpleasant because it's no where near as easy as just not taking the pills anymore. plus, you don't feel yourself getting addicted. just one day, you are. and for future reference, when you're nauseated, puking, feeling weak YOUR BODY IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING. try listening to it and lay off the percs, especially with the alcohol.

GAAAHHH!!!!!!!! BARS!!!! I HATE BARS!!!!!! I think percosets are pretty weak compared to Vicodin. One Vicodin is enough to keep you really nice and chill for a while, without the risk of puking your brains out; and if you're like me, you act really mellow on them, socially acceptable even.

You really like your Vicodin, don't you?

Yes, I do. And, unlike most other IDIOTS in real life that I know (not referring to anyone in TA, of course) I have EXCELLENT control over how many I consume and how often. Therefore, a small supply lasts me quite a long time!
