first appearance of "Hard Trance" on a record?

I was wondering when the name for this genre emerged.

First releases I found in my collection are both 1994:

Code 14 - No Limits (Hardtrance Mix) [United Ravers Records]

Hard Trance - Extraordinary [Evolution Gold]

I found

Hardfloor - Hardtrance Acperience E.P. [Harthouse Records]

which is from 1992 but I don't have this...

any earlier releases containing this term?

That's the first record I know that carried the name hardtrance. Don't know if it was the very first one but I guess it had to be among the first at least.

Yeah, nowadays I wouldn't consider that particular Hardfloor track to be hard trance really but maybe the rough acid edge was considered hard enough back then.

The first artists I've heard describing their music as hard trance were Arpeggiators (DJ Tom & Norman) who in an interview in 1993 in the german scene mag Frontpage (I think) said that they where making hard trance music. Same year I also got hold of Norman - The Big Deal EP which definetly could be considered hard trance

Definetly not hehe. Hardfloor consists of Oliver Bondzio & Ramon Zenker.

useless trivia, ramon zenker is nowadays 1/4 of fragma and also 1/2 of paffendorf

and his brother is frank zenker or more known as dj scot project
