-- Richie Hawtin in Calgary !

Be Cool! Richie Hawtin in Calgary !

Hawtin was off the hook!! I danced my ass off, it was tons o' fun, thanks Dom :)

Although he played quite a variety of electronic, tekno, etc, i would have to say that at 3am, whatever track he dropped, BAM! Insane! I couldn't stop dancing :D anyone know what track it was? Quite a good mix of pretty much every kind of tekno you could imagine, save the boring kind ;)

It was good to see so many of my old friends out again, i'll have to start getting my ass off the couch more often. To all of you who got CDs from me, enjoy them, next time i'll bring more than just a few to hand out

I'd have to say that in my experience his live sets are nothing like his albums whch tend to be much more ... experimental ... in nature.

Hawtin live is an off-the-fucking-hook experience. I'm not majorly into techno, but when Hawtin comes to London (sadly usually only two or three times a year) I *will* drop whatever I had planned to go.

People sometimes call Hawtin "the DJ's DJ" - if you ever get the chance, go see why - he'll mix *continuously* with absolute smooth precision for 6 or 8 hours at a stretch. Awesome.

i enjoyed it, and the fact that he brought out his Mac/Apple laptops to fix into the set made it all the better

richie hawtin is a freaking legend. i'm still waiting to see him live but he's done so much for the industry and is possibly one of the greatest djs living at the moment

i can't believe your from canada and you haven't heard of hawtin.

He always uses the apple laptop now. It's an intrical part of his live/dj sets. The xone 92 by allen and heath was basically designed for richie hawtin and his powerbook.

what a great night! Richie was better than the last time i saw him, and i enjoyed his set even more than i thought i would....he wasn't as tribal/techno as i've heard from him, more on the deep dirty techy banging house side... which i loved! What time did he play until? ...we left just ahead of 3am....

I hear he's coming back in November possibly! i'm there!

he played till around 3:30, although after that track he dropped at 3am, it was all downhill from there
