Nightclubs in Surfers ?
Anybody who has been to, or lives near surfers paradise, i am going up there for a week and i wondered whether there are any decent nightclubs that play trance music. I am up there for a whole week so any particular night would be good too ;D

i went up there for schoolies week... the nightlife was shit, really was... no good music anywhere, no cheap drinks anywhere, and i was pretty pissed off to say the least...
then i realised on like my 2nd last night "hey, these chicks are drunk!"
I recently came back from holidays up there and I wouldn't place too much of an emphasis on the night life in Surfers. If you are looking to chill with mates, it's definitely the best place, however not much of a nightlife. My Bar plays some good funky house (if your into that), Shooters has an alright crowd, however music is up to shit and Fever plays nail-hitting Hard Trance.
the clubs play shit music. if ure looking for some poontang head to shooters.. lots there, however the music is SHIT, so be warned
bah, that sucks then !
Please be a little optimistic guys, I'm going there in 9 days.
I was kinda hoping the nightlife would be quite good,
but I guess it's not.
Anything's better than where I'm from anyways.

Afraid optimism won't do any good the nightlife in Surfers is shit unless you're an alcoholic R&B fan.
If you want good entertainment head up to Brisbane and into the Valley, check out club Family, the club has a $1 million sound system awesome lighting and a good atmosphere, Armin played there last Friday and the place went off this Friday or Saturday Dumonde is playing there so it should also be a great night.
the only good club up there is Berlin bar, not sure if its still there, but that was a mad place. Plays wicked tribal house.
well from wat i can remember last year .. fever is the closest you would get to what your after but even that is gay shit .. with Hard NrG shit .. !! surfers is only for the sun and getting drunk .. nothing more !! i remember there was this club at broad beach called 'the quest' that played house music ... wateva !! ..
cant wait to go back tho ..!!

umm when i went up there, there was a club called 'blue' i think, was playing hard trance at one stage, then the next night i think it was house.. not sure though..
Berlin Bar has closed for renovations....
Goto the Family in Brisbane, it's worth the trip up 
Have to agree with most of the peeps opinions here, Surfers is pretty archaic unfortunately, very little if any trance scene at all up here, and Family might be a good venue but unless your there for an import DJ they'll shovel house down your throat all nite... Quest in Broadbeach might be worth checking out but havent heard much about that place... all said and done the wildlife certainly isnt taxing on the eyes! 
Family is the best place for trance in Brisbane and most likely in Australia, no doubt about it! They just need better resident djs I guess. I wouldn't mind having waxology play here as opener so we hear so NEW and DECENT trance weekly. We got Dumonde up here on 20th of Feb... in 2 weeks and its my BDay so there will be some dancing & drinking aight! Not much needs to be said about the club, it speaks for itself! Fridays is Trance night, Saturdays is House night and Sundays its gay night! 
Quest on Gold Coast is aight too, Ive been there few times on Thrusday's, Friday's and on Saturday's. Thrusday's is rap/rnb night with all the ghetto wanna be pdiddy whiteboy gangstas. What a joke... but the girls are cool ^^ Fridays & Saturdays is usually dance music with Saturdays being more housey. I was there for the Indy party when GT played his electro/house set which was crap, but again nice girls and alot of Indy MODELS! 
Fever on Gold Coast is like...... crap!
There are alot of nice bars to hang out with your friends and company with some nice deep house and chill out. In Brisbane check out PressClub, Sunbar, GPO & Jorge and on the Coast check out Berlin Bar and My Bar (same owner as the Quest so same music)
Family is your best bet in Brisbane. None of the residents play trance but they usually get a lot of international Trance DJs throughout the year.
As for Gold Coast try Resistance, formally known as Fever. They are probably the best place in the Gold Coast to find trance.
We have a party down there on the 13th Feb called J-Flight which showcases the majority of Trance DJs from Brisbane/Gold Coast. Will be a good night. Other than that their residents usually play the harder styles.

well i just got back then guys ;D, talk about shitty arse whether, beautiful one day, perfect the next my ****in arse. Raining, windy, crappy, BAH!
as expected there were no good night clubs, but it didnt really matter anywhoo ;D

who the fuck honestly expects to go to surfers to listen to good music???? just go and get pissed and go on a fuckfest! closest thing to good music is my bar but still...who gives a shit?
as if im going to go to surfers expecting to listen to trance...sheessh..that would make my night complete..
