This is a sample of some Goa i made about 4 months ago. I haven't put my music on the internet for a long time, but i was interested to see what people thought of this. The full version is sick. :P

Yummy! Goa! I gotta check this out!

Posted by tranzMental on Feb-01-2004 06:53:

Like those trippy effects in the beginning! Whoah, some of those soft synths are quite beautiful! I like some of the synth work, and that whole experimental feel with this track.

Dang these synths were nuts in this song man! When that bassline drops This stuff is just BANANNA'S after that!!!

Dude man - this track is NICE! I love this style, and I love what you have done with the synth work! Keep this up! I wanna hear more of this style on these boards!

Wink

thanx bud. Ive got quite a few tricks up my sleeve.

Posted by tranzMental on Feb-01-2004 08:11:

I'm sure most people here have their own bag of 'tricks'.

Posted by tranzMental on Feb-01-2004 08:26:

BTW - post that full version.

Posted by trancedfarmer on Feb-01-2004 08:42:

well see what other people think. I may be tempted to. i like this track quite a bit. There is more melodic variation later in the song.

Posted by Seric on Feb-01-2004 09:04:

Of course, I always enjoy hearing your tunes. This one is great, really.. I'd like to smoothe out your voices though... You know how i'm sortof a freak about like godly smooth EQ and Comp. Good stuff... I like your prog stuff alot.. Post the prog! : )

oh dont flatter me....

Posted by Haak on Feb-01-2004 18:30:

cool stuff, i like the bassline. some sweet sounds and fx in there

Posted by trancedfarmer on Feb-01-2004 21:09:

yeah.... seric thinks the bassline is kinda jungle-ish... i really like it. It makes the floor feel like its rolling on the kick.

the bassline changes in the full version and becomes pretty trancy, which pumps up the energy before the build-up.

Posted by Sean Walsh on Feb-01-2004 21:22:

Awesome synths and effects, pretty sweet. I think this definitely needs a better kick though; the generic 909 thing in there right now could be really improved. Cool shit.

Posted by trancedfarmer on Feb-01-2004 21:32:

ive experimented with goa kicks in this song and i was not as pleased. This is my favorite so far, and it works with the bassline the best... but ill still look into it :P. This is also an older version of the song, and i have fucked around with the Eq on the kick since then.

btw.... while i did use a 909, a lot of my percs are synthesized. I never did like the percussion in this song. Something to look at for sure. It doesnt move right.

Posted by tranzMental on Feb-02-2004 06:34:

Like I said before, full version would be very, VERY nice!

Posted by Nemesis44 on Feb-02-2004 09:44:

Yup, you got some good stuff going on there.
But I can't help but feel that there are some frequencies missing. Whilst the melody and pads plus bassline work really well together it does feel as if there is a hole in this track but I can't put my finger on what it is... sorry for not being more helpful.

Good work though and definately want to hear the finished result.

Cheers

sounds cool. But a bassline would be cool which is more audible...too weak for my taste

You are correct to an extent. This is an un-mastered version first of all, second of all, i added more layers to certain synths, and this is only 1/4 of the actual song.

i added another layer to the bass. sounds nicer. It was already up to my standards though, but i could see what was lacking.

Posted by tranzMental on Feb-02-2004 19:20:

Give us an update mate!!! I really, REALLY want to hear the full track! That's if you wanna post it. Cheers!

Posted by trancedfarmer on Feb-03-2004 17:29:

there are some things i'd like to do with it first and then i will probably release it (legal shit). Any other comments?

Posted by Syeker on Feb-04-2004 03:28:

Kept me interested from the beggining but didn't felt any bass on this one, turn it up; and you should make the kick more punchy (afterall is a psytrance tune) liked the melody, that's my taste. Post the final version as soon as posible this forum needs psy desperatedly.

Talking

fantastic track ... if anyone asked me to ID this track, I would not have a thought in mind that this is not a "professional" made track (by that I mean - not commercial)

... try to get your stuff out ... on some psy-compilation

Thanx bud. This version isnt up to that level, but the final one could be.
