mixer problems

when i use the channel faders my mixer makes like noise
hard to explain it but its like crackling and stuff
any ideas whats wrong and how to fix it?

contact cleaner and compressed air should do it..

its crap and dust and stuff in the fader- very common- especially in club mixers

My DJM-500 is giving me the same problem when I have the first channel fader pushed all the way up. Where can you buy contact cleaner?

Try this...

press down on the fader while it's in the middle. if it crackles... you may need to clean or replace the fader contact.
to do this you must take out the fader assembly and clean it CAREFULLY!!

if it crackles while moving it.. the contact may only need to be cleaned or the entire assembly may need to be replaced.

check yer warrantee.

use alcohol on cotton Q-tips to clean em.
