how much is the total. honestly u should spend a lil bit more and get a good set of tables though. i got one sl-1200mk2 and one sl-1200m3d on ebay for a total of 450. you just have to look aroudn and find a good deal.

(2) TT1610 multi-directional efficient belt drive turntables with aluminum platters
DM950 2 channel + mic mixer, EQ on each channel, slider style cueing
HF125 flexible 7-position dual headphone
(2) Groove Tool cartridges and slipmats

That says it all - Belt drive tt's. Don't send the letter! (of intent to purchase)

Don't buy! Get some direct drive TTs instead.

yuk belt drives... if you wanna wast your money get this these are crap tabels and you wont even be ablt o dj on em

Yeah, they are belt drives, stay away! My friend has the better direct drive Numark DJ package, and they still just aren't good. They feel like complete crap, especially the mixer. I'd try to save up for Tech's if you can, if not just try to get direct drive tables. BTW, I'm aware that it isn't just a "bit more" for Tech's, but if you can, save up, it's worth it!

what is so bad about belt drive turntables?

Posted by TwoPlow on Feb-03-2004 00:09:

Wavering pitch/lack of constant speed, and horrible torque. Plus they wear out faster, and tend to be of an overall lower quality.

They suck. Buy techs.

Yes, not only will the tables last longer and be more stable (as has already been mentioned above), they will also have a much higher resale value than belt-drive tables in case you ever decide to get out of DJ'ing.

It's hard to learn the basics of beatmatching when your record doesn't hold pitch...
