Does anyone know of a Theremin soft synth? 
I use the Jen SX-1000.
But thats hardware

Yes, mostly famous from those whistly tones they put in old 50's horror movies.
FxPansion had Theremin VST's called Mysteron (free) and Enigmatron. Don't see it anymore on their site, but they are still available on the net if you look long enough.
For Mac, only one solution : Gleetchplug

One feature I came across when building compaq/hp laptops is that you can download a theremin for use with their glide path. It reacts to both movement and pressure, and gives off a good sound too (especially as the laptops had a JBL sound system!). MAy be of use to you but I doubt it

The most known use of a theremin in a "pop" track.
There is a Portishead track that uses one, but I cant remember the name.
What few people know, is that it's also used in Whole Lotta Love from Led Zeppelin.
Im gonna use a Theremin sample in my next track, but i will just re-create with the Jen.
