Local dance radio stations...

Hi there.
I was listening to 96.1 FM last nite and I was amazed! Some unknown dj played a very wicked trance set! Some of the tunes his was playing are Angelic - Can't keep me silent (Dumonde mix),Accadia - Into the dawn (James Holden mix) I didn't know they play trance! I knew that they actually have djs guests playing drum'n'bass,house,prog-house and such...does anybody know that radio station's web-site and by the way it's called G-spot FM.

yeah ive heard gspot before, its pretty good but that sounds like some really good, really up-to-date trance.. can you try and remember his name?

ive only heard trance of cheese and hard house on gspot b4..

I can't remember his name due to my bad memory...the only thing i can tell is that the dj's name starts with an S.lol All u can do is just guess lol...no more kidding..sorry I can't remember his name. Dude do a reserach on them and send'em ur demo tape of ur mix!! Why don't u try to do that?? and may be some day they will have u as a guest!?!

i thought i was called pure radio. sometimes they broadcast live from parties which is cool. also x plays trance on sat night(12-1) or something like that. but its not that good.

i guess velocity is becoming not such a bad show, theyve got some nice tracks playing right now, just wish there was 1 single lil station that played good music 24/7

sometimes i sounds good to me, but some pro djs i know can totally pick me apart (like johnny eckhardt.. and stephan m <= out on flammable)

which im thankful for.

on a side note, i havent listened to z95 (or the radio for that matter) for several months... vancouver radio is simply horrible

Btw G-spot played crap last nite,js house and nothing else...on friday nite I'll never forget this dj was spinning a pure trance set.

yeah prod i have some different styles, tell me who you're into and i'll make a mix for ya

i like a little bit o' progressive (not sasha/digs deep tho, more like seaman/pvd blend) but have some anthem, dutch, etc.
not too much hard stuff going on.. marco v is about as hard as it is

and Pat get some tracks from Adam Beyer or Chris Liebing for some pounding stuff (I thik it could still be classified as trance or maybe progressive , not sure )

im definitely down for a vancouver TA party, if someone can come up with a venue.. even like a little hall or somethin...
i would guess special k has ideas in this dept

I dont like techno, but some tracks can pass like some from Liebing and Beyer like I said and maybe some other producers that I dont know yet
and yes I seriously think that TA party in Van would be revolutionary !
Well friends of mine that have production and call me to play with them when they throw gigs, almost rented this one warehouse which could hold about 500 people as much as I could have seen, but there were some problems around costs
so I would be able to suggest some places...
but until we make our own Ibiza go and listen to trance department shoutcast station http://213.204.128.203:8000 (its 128kbps so cable od ADSL needed)
there is lot of other ones that play trance non stop but this one had broadcast of radio 1 in Ibiza with Jules and rest of the crew
I am listening to it while I am writing this hehehehehe

Victoria's extreme 107.3 FM also has a DJ mix show on Saturday nights from 10pm to 2am playing everything from Progressive to House to Breaks to DnB. You might be able to pick it up in Vancouver... I don't know. The show is called "Really Good Music" and the show's website is http://reallygoodmusic.cjb.net

well there's a place across from capitol 6 there downtown, upstairs from hte sushi place i think it is.

i got one there, it looked pretty stupid tho

but it would work for a lot of places, i guess esp. if you're a girl

and ther'es like 20 to choose from.

definitely worth a look.


so who can suggest a PLACE for this party? and a WAY of setting it up???? i dont think getting peopel to come would be that big of a problem..
