Rate the Kebab

Had an awesome kebab?

Let me know and others know by all means.

CHadstone downstairs food court kebab: dry bland over cooked piece of shit. Not recommended.

Turkish Kebabs: Burwood rd opposite swinburne Uni. Absolutely mint. Fresh, vibrant so tasty, a true kebab.

Lambs on chapel; EWWW!

Lambs (teh one on malvern rd near corner of chapel): TEH WIN!

let me know some joints, feed my kebab addiction.

Chullora Marketplace <- too standard and normal

Monaish, Waterloo Road, Chullora <- Noobs at the kebab Kebabs isnt really their specialty

Greenacre Leb Restaurant, Waterloo Road, Greenacre <- like Monaish their noobs at the kebab and kebabs isnt their specialty

Victoria Yeeros, cnr of Victoria Rd and Marrickville Rd in Marrickville. Absolutely sensation kebabs - mostly meat and a bit of lettuce/tomato/onion/hummus, not the other way around like most kebab places. One of the best in Sydney.

The one Xavier mentioned on the Hume Highway near the corner of Stacey St in Bankstown also do awesome kebabs.

Can also recommend Mezze Kebabs in the Forum Building at St Leonards - very tasty stuff.

The guy with the portable BBQ outside the Kings Cross Hotel = food poisoning central, avoid at all costs (though I'm sure the alcohol in your system will kill whatever bacteria is in the food ).

If you'd prefer Turkish Pizza to a kebab, head for Enmore. Topkapi and Saray both make brilliant Turkish pide, Sarays are probably one of the best in Sydney.

Though for 3:30am food, you can't really go past Harry's Cafe de Wheels in Wolloomooloo - nothing better than being completely trashed in the middle of the night and eating a massive pie covered in gravy and mushy peas

Undoubtedly best kebabs in Sydney by a long shot !

White Heaven Kebabs, King Georges Rd, Wiley Park. (about a 2 min walk from my place and thank god for that)

but definitely can't go past Sydney Kebabs on the Hume Highway. I have never had a bad kebab there. Very consistent and extremely tasty !

BAY KEBABS (next to Baskin Robbins 31 flavours), Byron Bay

arguably the best kebabs in the world..

Sorry for my lack of ethnic knowledge (i can't even tell the difference between greeks & italians), but:

Whats the difference between a yiros and a kebab???

Posted by SeeK on Feb-04-2004 07:13:

Zara's on Sydney Rd make a nice Kebab, also Alaturko in Melb central dont make a bad kebab...

Posted by Casey on Feb-04-2004 07:30:

toss up between orexi's in oakleigh or the newly opened clarinda fish and chippery. they drown that shit in lemon juice.

I think thats the one im talking about, never got the name of it tho

hhmm many drunken nights after bimbo's have we sat in there laughed at nothing

Posted by jizza on Dec-09-2004 14:25:

yep i've had one at souvlaki king. to be honest i didnt rate it. too dry, not enough meat but in saying that i was sober when i had it.

Posted by sLiCk_NiCk on Dec-09-2004 15:22:

Haci's isnt to bad, he does the job well. Its a bit spicier then usual which adds a whole new element. But of course he always fixes you up with extra meat

But!

The best by far for me is Gino's Kebabs on high st Thornbury/Northcote area. Top bloke for a Turk lol, nice quality meat..and the best bbq sauce available by far.. if u ever drop in sign his petition to keep the van running coz some dickhead neighbour is complaining about the noise

Peta remember we had the munchies and how well Gengas (gino's kebabs) fixed us up...mmmm those were the nights

Kebabs remind me of Cheech & Chong, who remind me of weed which gives me the kebab munchies..

ok to much detail, bed time gotta set to play tonight!
