Beatport.com - buy trance WAV's and mp3's

Has anyone tried www.beatport.com out yet? I just read about it in this month's remix magazine. It's a music store where you can buy electronic music in both Mp3 and WAV! If you buy a wav, they'll burn it on a cd-r and send it to you. Finally, digital music the way I've always wanted it!

Great site, if they can build up their library and labels. I wanted the WAV file option for the songs I selected. You can pay and download the mp3's or mp4's but not wav files The shipping charges for 1 cd of wavs was almost 10 bux to Boston. Ridiculus. I decided not to order. Not to mention they also charged me tax.

Ah, found this on their FAQ

Why are some tracks priced differently than others

Our pricing system is based on three factors: format, availability, & release date. If something is a new release or it has been out of print for some time, the price is higher. Mp3 & mp4 prices are identical, with general releases at $.99, and new releases at $1.49. Out of print mp3 files are $1.99. Wav files are all $1.99 regardless of release date or availability but are not downloadable. Wav file orders will be burned to disc and mailed via FedEx (shipping fees are added on top of the $1.99 base price).

sounds cool
what bitrate are their mp3s? I've been on the websites of some record lables that sell mp3s for d/l, and they are only 160k...which is fucking stupid. If I'm paying for it, I would want it to be high quality...atleast high enough quality that you could play it in a club

FAQ on their site says 192kbps. And that they are direct from the labels, not recorded from an analog source. The wav files are cd quality digital masters.
