Pioneer HDJ-1000 headphones

I asked one of friends (who does spin) about some headphones to buy, he recommended the Pioneer HDJ-1000....does any one have an opinion on these?

Best headphones I've ever used for DJing, but dude, use search as there are quite a few threads on this subject already.

Cheers...

If you've got the cash and want the best of the best, i guess you can get these... but if you're happy with just decent nice material, get something cheaper and go buy some more records

what is it with people always asking questions about headphones

they are good i would recomend "trying" them because it is all personal preferance. most people like these phones but if YOU dont feel confortable with them dont get them!!!

try them and the SONY MDRV700 and SENNHEISER HD25 in a shop using any kind of good quality media and then make the decision on which sound you prefer.

maybe he doesnt have a shop around him that carries many types of headphones? or even one that will let him try them on?

Mine broke after 3 months so i'm trying the sony mdr v700's hope they hold out better i'm a bit dissapointed with the pioneers considering how expensive they are but they do produce immense sound quality

You sure that's a wise idea, considering how overpriced and breakable the v700's are?

Why not IM me sometime, we can chat headphones...

well the pioneers are 120 and the sony mdr v700's are selling for 66 now. the sony's are pretty usefull especially for club systems coz of the heavy bass aswell and theyre by far the most comfortable headphones i've ever used they may not have the best sound quality but its decent enough really whenever i've used a pair before there fine to mix with.

I have had a pair of the headphones for about 8 months now and no problems what so ever, actually I love them! The sound quality is amazing, much better than the sony's imo! But I agree if you can try a bunch out do so becuase they all fit a little differently.

Later-
neile

dude, my v700's are awesome, they fit nice, good sound quality, and real durable. They will only break if the person using them isnt handling them right.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire, eh?

Sorry, gibbo, but I had to.

in addition try the sennheiser hd-280's. they sell for cheaper, seem very durable and have very good sound quality.

I've used the sennheissers before but i find them uncomfortable and although the sound is clear they arent as bass heavy as i'd like, some people might find them better but there not for me.

They are shite imo.

Don't get me wrong great sound and everything, but the first pair i got the headband fell apart, they got sent back and i was issued with a new pair, the second pair the back of the earcup fell off after i dropped them (you'd expect them to be a bit more stiry considering the price) and now when i was making a cd last night the right headphone just cut out.

I'm sending them back and going for the technics rpdj1200's.
