Moscow metro blast
Up to 40 people have died and more than 100 were injured in a suspected suicide attack on a packed Moscow subway train.

Here is a picture of what the carriage where the blast happened looks like
I can't say much else. I live in this city and get to work by metro every day. I could have been there...
Dude, that is sad indeed. I have lived my childhood and early teens with those fears of being blown up. Evertime, I'd take a step out of my house, I'd think this maybe the last time I'd see my family. I know the feeling. I hope you're doing well, just keep your head up.
The official version is of course going to blame Chechens, and I really don't think that this is that "simple." Russia was rocked by explotions which led to the election of Putin, and now, when he is about to get re-elected, it seems to happen all over again... It can be either him or some kind of his opposition, but I'm not certain and no one is...
Russia and the rest of former Soviet Union is a really brutal place to leave. Thinking that you really have control over your live is naive there.
Unfortunately, thinking that you really have control over your live anywhere is naive.
its those ****in chechniyans i tell you!!
give them their indepence!! what good is chechneya to the russian federation!>?

hmm i heard the moscow system is beautiful.
im sure this will be chalked up as Chechen - but then again Putin 'foiled' terror in Moscow when police happened upon the apt bombings|

So why don't the Russians give up Chechnya?
Then probably it would happen the same in many provinces is what comes to mind. WRONG!
Oil is the reason once more. There is a very important pipeline passing through Chechen territories and the russians aren't giving that up. Secondly, there are massive oil reserves under chechen soil, most of them still unexplored.
The fact is this is a conflict which goes way back, the Chechens really hate the russians for many reasons, but the main one, was a mass deportation of the Chechen people to Siberia, 60 years ago. Half a million were deported.
Thank Stalin and his deportation policy for most of the regional conflicts in the USSR territories...
It's sad to see this happening in Russia, it's one of the countries and people i admire the most!
