Audiophile 24/96 w/ Jp 8080
Sorry but I aint got time to do alot of research, Ive gotta go down to manchester tomorow to pick up a soundcard, long story.
Will my Jp8080 work with the Audiophine 24/96? Im not quite sure of the ausio inputs on the card, also I think ill need an midi/usb interface. (a cheep one)
Can someone tell me what i need etc. Thanks
I'm not sure of the outputs on the JP 8080 but it's my understanding that it's a reasonably vintage synth so it most likely uses a MIDI interface. The Audiophile 2496 already has one MIDI input and one MIDI output. What you'll need are 2 MIDI cables (output and input cables are the same) and 2 audio cables that go from the audio output on the JP8080 to the RCA inputs on your Audiophille (not sure if they're called that in England)
are the outputs of the jp 4inch jack?, the audiophile's Audio input look really small.
Also i have a midi keyboard, is there a interface I can get so I can use both the midi keyboard and jp8080 at the same time?
The JP8080 is a rack synth, so you would most likely want to do that.. There is a way to patch the MIDI cables so that when you play a note on your keyboard, it will play through on the JP8080 and you will be able to sequence the JP8080 and your keyboard through the computer - both your keyboard and the JP8080 would need a MIDI In, Out, and Through.. and the JP8080 should come with instructions on how to do this, but if not I'm sure you can find it on Roland's website or something..
