World Rally Championship (WRC) videos on line! Any WRC fans out there?

I live in the US, Texas of all places, so 9 out of 10 people have no idea what I am talking about. I am sure that the Europeans here will know much better.

I have placed the full telecasts here in the US on my hard drive for downloading. Take a look and I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Spread the word as I would love to see WRC become popular in the US. Down with NASCAR!

Thanks for your time. Any relevant WRC links appreciated,
Roger

I love WRC !
The World rally championship is one of the best sports
Fast and exciting, the thought of using a modified every day road car and hurtleing at 100Mph down narrow wooded lanes is such a buzz.

I love it when it comes to the UK , way cool stuff.

But i suggest u try posting this in the sports section cos u will get more veiws and replies there.

Peace

Thanks for the advice. Why didn't I think of posting in the Sports section?

I am attempting to round up some friends to travel to Cardiff, Wales to see the "Network Q Rally of Great Britian". The only major drawback is that the rally falls on Thanksgiving week here so airfare is outrageous (about $500 vs. $250 other times).

Hopefully I can still convince a contingent of my friends to go.

Thanks for the info,
Roger

Hey Roger,

Good to see a fellow Texan on here (born in Houston, me'self!)
I love racing (anything BUT nascar), including WRC..... I like the VW golf, but that is for obvious reasons (see below).... also like the Audis.......

I tried WRC once, although it wasn't a sanctioned event, it was more of a "i'm-drunk-and-swerving-off-the-road-in-between-the-trees-in-the-forest" kinda thing... haha, lol......

that shit HAS to be hard though, really fast with (technically) no sense of traction.... wow. mad respect..

now tell me this doesn'tlook like fun
good spectator sport too - f'n dangerous - but you really do get close to the action (inches sometimes hehe) and if they lose it everyone runs over, flips the car back up and they race off again!

rally has to be one of the best motorsports in the world!!! its up there with formula 1 and the nations cup (something we have here in australia where the cars involved include ferrari's, lamborghinis, porsche gt3's, vipers etc. - awesome stuff)
WRC needs a US event i reckon...

thanks for the movies man!! rally racing is like soo much better than normal circuit racing like the ovals and stuff where you just go in straight lines, and do the turn at the end of the oval for what 200 laps? how boring, rally racing is like soo unpredictable thats what makes it soo cool

Posted by phasedout on Sep-03-2001 18:15:

hey acidfast, is your site down...haven't been able to access it lately

Yess, the WRC rules, last year Richard Burns & Robert Reid where my favorites, but I don't like the look of the new subaru.
Colin McRea is always nice to see.
The focus & the Peugeots are the most beatifull cars this year I guess.

Sorry phasedout and others attempting to reach my WRC vids. I usually take the site down when I need to record new broadcasts (or when I burn a ton of CDs ... once a week I burn 10 new trance CDs to listen to in the lab). I have a bunch more footage to add. I have the complete Safari Rally (insane), some of the Mid-Season Review broadcast, and almost the entire Finland Rally (which is extremely fast.) About 100 mins total. I plan to have them all online by the end of the weekend.

BTW, is the quality good? It appears to be decent on my computer at full screen resolution. Any input?

Take care,

Roger
