Congrats Trent (Ascension)

I saw Trent (posts on TA as Ascension) play at the Clink DJ comp final thing on Thurs night and I was suitably impressed by his set. So were the judges obviously since he took out 2nd place.

I'm sure we'll be seeing things from him in the future!

had an awesome night even though i didn't win - full credit to karl, he played a great set and fully deserved to take it out

i kinda get the impression that my "bag of tricks" isn't quite big enough, especially after seeing mike tear up the decks at the end.. i guess the next thing for me is to get myself some tables and experiment a little

started with some breaks then moved onto more housey stuff
Didn't have very long as there was 6 finalists

1.) BT - somnambulist (burufunk mix)
2.) Traffic - your light (luke chable mix)
3.) AJ Scent - the charleston (willie lopez mix)
4.) White stripes - seven nation army (some white label...)
5.) chris fraser - flashpoint (tendroid mix)

umm i'd like to learn how to scratch properly for one thing..
would also have been handy if i'd known how to use the cdj1000 they gave us to play some acapellas, use the effects etc..
