Armin van Buuren @ Vision 21.Feb.04 - Meetup / Info Thread

So are we going to try to have a meet up for this? Who's all going? and where can we get the tickets...

I'll be there with 6 or 7 other people.

I was planning on asking the same question in a couple of days....

I would be up for a get together thing beforehand. As of now I am still planning on going to this show and will definitely be at any meetup type thing.

If we do decide to have a get together someone needs to make a reservation beforehand (I would even do it if I had to) not having a reso cause a lot of confusion and waiting outside before the PVD show, though it all worked out in the end.

I've tried getting in contact with David and Armin about this and am still waiting on an answer ...

I'll be there for the show and am in for a meetup, with or without Armin. Of course it would be cool to have him there.

I'm still down for a meetup either way, I'll be down with between 3 and 8 people depending on who actually makes the trip.

How about the same place as last time? It seemed to work out very well.

Pre sale tix

Hey Guys,

What happens when you get Pre-sale tickets at Vision? Do you have to wait in line or do they just let you in real quick? Also, what time is a good time to get there for Armin cuz i def. want a good spot!!! I have only been to Vision once and it wasnt very crowded. Gonna be a Wicked Party!!

presales get express entry. i would recommend grabbing presales for most of these events as we're daling with some pretty big names here. a few weeks ago the general admission line was 20 minuges and this was just for judge jules. you can imagine the following thats gonna show up for armin G&D ferry sasha and pvd.

anyone come up with any details about the meetup? i'm most likely driving down from Milwaukee by myself so it'd be cool to meet up with the rest of the TA's.

also, i know everyone is saying to get presales, but there's no way i can come and pick them up before this saturday. do you think i'd have a problem if i got there a bit earlier to insure that it wasn't entirely sold out already?

you dont need to pick up the presales. I think they still offer them at www.groovetickets.com . When you get to Vision they just check your ID and credit card info with their printed out sheet.

I dont think I'm gonna grab one. I cant remember the last time I waited more than a minute or two to get in. But thats for some of the lesser packed shows and entering at like 1. But this is Armin so itll be packed.

Do you remember last time Armin was @ vision? I had bought tix in advanced and I had to wait for a long time, you and nick just paid then and there, and got in quick so you guys had to wait for me..

ok so I can't confirm I'm going to make the meetup, who wants to take care of organizing the dins?

I think dj2kta or UWM would make excellent organizers

If no one else is willing to make said reservations I will do it, if at the very least to avoid that crazy ass hassle we had at Gino's.

But I will leave it to the more experienced type folks first hehe.

Ok...which pizza place are we talking about? You guys went to Connie's before AVB the last time right? And it was Gino's before PVD....so maybe we should clarify that

Thats right! It actually saved us a little time, which would be nice in this coldass weather. I've almost always seen the presales line longer than the gen adm. line.


Either place would be nice. Connies would be better for a larger group I think, but Gino's is real close to the club. But I guess we should start to get a headcount as to who coming then. Then we can make some reservations up

I think Connie's is the best bet, they were very accomodating and drinks / food were very reasonably priced. A closer venue for some would make more sense, but for those of us who have to drive either way it's a moot point.

I'm in for whatever the group consensus is.

Whatever be fine by me.....the Gino's experience was kinda crappy anyway, except that the waitress WAS really good about bringing me another beer in "five minutes" like I asked.

Where is this Connies? Is it far enough that me's needs to park there and drive down to the club and re-park or is it within a few blocks so walking is acceptible?


On a general Vision note, i assume they have a coat check, is it easier/more convenient than the one at HOB? I was really glad I left my jacket in the car before PVD...I just want to know if I need to plan on freezin my nuts off for a few minutes rather than wait in line for a decade to put my coat in temporary storage.

I am pretty stoked about this....I just hope going to vision the next two weekends in a row won't make me so worthless come that first monday in March that I lose my job

I wouldn't use the coat check there. It's taken my friends well over an hour to get it back at times - I suppose it really depends on when you go to get it. I'd either:

a) keep it in the car and deal with the cold on the walk
b) put it in the storage lockers upstairs by the bathrooms if it's not too big

And about Connie's - you can park there for free, it's probably like 10-15 min at most of a drive to downtown where you can use one of the ramps mentioned in the other thread to save some $$.
