Ali McGregor - One Perfect Day (Paul van Dyk Remix)
Got mixed emotions about this one. The beginning is kind of like...WTF...but then the build up is badass I like it.
I keep listening to it and something just bothers me but I don't know what it is. I wish I knew more about producing and I never thought I would say this, but I would change some things around on his remix. I don't really see the flow of the track that well, but other than that I think it's a good song to enjoy.
I know some of you are not going to like it, so by all means please voice your opinions I'm curious to know.

I have seen posts about this track and I have a few things to say. First off...this track was produced for a film, obviously. So, in my opinion, without seeing the film or knowing the characters of the film...this track cannot come across the way it has been designed. Honestly, I get chills when I listen to it. I think the art behind it deserves credit. I am not only saying this because it is PVD, but musically...he just keeps testing the power of this music. At least for me, this track is a beauty. For what it is and what it is for I give it 10/10. As for its club worth, I cannot wait to hear it in New York at peak hour...just for its vocal power. This is all opinion..and I respect all others, but listen to this track for what it is.
his productions have gone really down hill imo.
the only last productions i've really liked off his are animacion (never released) and second sun - empire.
It just really seems like his sound is getting stale now . i think it's a shame as his first ever production i heard - flaming june was definitely a pimpler.
I also think it was a bit condescending and plain wrong for him to say that the original born slippy sounds out of date now and that's why he decided to rework it.
For one, that tune has barely aged; the percussion and whole production the original was way ahead of it s time and still sounds fresh today.
Second, he decided to 'update' it by adding the same kickdrum he's been using since 1995/1996!
Didn't born slippy come out after this date???!!
what ... is this for real?
The vocals are downright beautiful.
The remix could've been better though.
listen to Orbital - One Perfect Sunrise (Featuring Lisa Gerrard) also from the movie. absolute tunage imo.
and yes, you really need to see the movie to understand the story behind the tracks.
having said that, good to see people enjoying it nonetheless.

the full track title (i bought the album) is
Ali McGregor - One Perfect Day Epic Dance Mix (Paul Van Dyk Remix)
Out of curiosity, what movie are you guys going on about?
I really wish the movie was released worldwide. I'm glad you guys voiced your honest opinions. I really can't wait to see the film, but what I was thinking was, if he played that anywhere else I don't think anyone would know the sentimental value of that track. They will probably roll their eye and smirk "great another vocal tune with pretty break downs *twirl finger*."
So, I have been listening to it over and over in my car..but I do think the remix has a little bit of more work to go through. Other than that I really like the tune now, I am seriously thinking of planning a trip to Australia to see the film..trailers aren't enough
Dont like it.. Not exactly my style too many blablablabla (vocals)..
I dont understand Paul he once said (at a soundgarten show) that he doesnt like Trance music with vocals and that he always plays the 'dubs' and now he produces hardly a track without any vocals ?!
