The Haunted Mansion? I don't think so. Plus Pixar left Disney (although they still have 2 movies to release under the Disney name). Disney's time is over.

Pirates of the Carribean?
besides they cater to all different audiences. I wouldn't count out a movie because its disney, but they did make some shite films.
Thats like saying Jerry Bruckheimer is shite because of KANGAROO JACK!
Sure that movie was shite but look at The rest

What would Pirates of the Carribean have been without Johnny Depp? He's what really made that movie.

I don't understand your whole rant about Jerry Bruckheimer either. We're talking about Disney movies, not who produced them.

Pirates of the Carribean was 1 hit among alot of misses for Disney since 2000. Peter Pan didn't do nearly as well as Disney expected and neither did The Haunted Mansion, not to mention the slew of animated movies that have failed at the box office. Most of Disney's success over the past few years has come in the form of Pixar, which they've managed to screw relations up relations with.

well i havent seen chasing liberty, and Im not a disney fanboy, all im saying is dont immedietaly count out some films because Disney put $$ up for the film. (Im also saying this cause I'm trying to get a job on crew there lol)

I know that Disney is trying to pitch their gig to a more mature audience now, but they've got a long way to go IMO. I look at Disney films the way that I look at Marvel comic films: most are shit but there are 1 or 2 gems.

I like the X-Men and Spiderman movie series. But Daredevil was horrible, Hulk didn't even interest me and Hell Boy looks dumb too.

i would see chasing liberty because mandy moore is in it and she pwns

Oh, while we're on the topic of this movie...here's what Mandy Moore had to say about her Loveparade experience:

quote:
Taken from MSN Entertainment
The pop singer who grew up going to a Catholic school in Orlando, Fla., is playing the rebellious teen daughter of the president of the United States in her new film "Chasing Liberty." She gets to run away from home to join in the Berlin Love Parade, skinny dip in a river in Prague and bungee jump from a bridge. In real life, the 19-year-old actress wouldn't do any of those things.

"Well, I did want to bungee jump, but they wouldn't let me, all that insurance and stuff," says the actress. "I've been sky-diving twice, though."

Going to the Love Parade also isn't her style. "All the costumes, clubby music, is not up my alley, it's not Andy's scene either," she says.

In fact, she had to ask director Andy Cadiff to have the extras lay off her during a scene where she's pushing through the crowd after getting roughed up.

"I was running through and getting the coldest stares, and some people wouldn't move. I had to wrestle the crowd, they were tormenting me, and I got bruises," she says.

I suppose, but I still don't think 1 good movie (Pirates) out of a bunch of failures "as of late" does not equal a quality film studio.

Miracle is a Disney picture, and that's getting good reviews. It also opened well at the box office.

As for the Pixar deal, Pixar wanted too much. It was Disney that said no way they were going to pay. In that case, it was to Disney's interest to break off the relationship, because there's no point (for business reasons) in making a great movie if you're going to lose money on it.

How would Disney lose out buy paying Pixar more money to produce movies for them? Everything Pixar has produced for them out done outrageously well in the box office and on VHS/DVD. I believe Finding Nemo is the highest selling DVD of all-time now.

I'm a huge Pixar fan and I hope they continue to have success in the future, although I read that they may sign on with Marvel...

That's what you get for trying to run through a solid crowd consisting of 750,000 people. Great job, Mandy.
