New VSTi - Possibly the best trance vsti yet.

http://www.vengeance-music.de/Virus...%20Soundset.mp3

Some people think it sounds like a Virus, not sure about that, but very nice indeed.

Here is the GUI.

One thing for sure is this vst was designed with trance in mind. They even got a trancegate.

looks nice...and sounds very nice! looking forward to this...

Wow, some very nice pad sounds coming out of this. The leads aren't too shaby.

I wouldn't say it sounds like a virus though. The virus oscillators have a distinct sound to them, very fruity, if that makes any sense.

any demo available?

edit: sound is amazing

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Feb-11-2004 15:58:

Well it sounds good for sure but not really anything I haven't heard before done with other software...

pretty hard to do this with 3x OSC believe me

Posted by noikeee on Feb-11-2004 16:19:

sounds pretty good yet a bit too software-ish here and there for my taste :\ maybe with external effects and such that can be corrected

maybe it's the cheesy melodies that are putting me off noticed a couple known ones there but just slightly altered, hehe

Did I say anything about 3xOSC?

Posted by Sean Walsh on Feb-11-2004 16:21:

Yeah, definitely not bad, I wonder how close some of those sounds are to the real thing, ie. how much external processing is going on in that mp3.

How much is this?

Some of thoes synths sound really good, but like Mr.Mystery said, nothing you cant make with a diffrent software.
I would still like to get a copy of this one.

Posted by dannib on Feb-11-2004 17:34:

those sounds you have posted are from the virus synth. and the patches are from vengeance sounds.

Posted by thecYrus on Feb-11-2004 18:15:

no, this are the sounds from vanguard... manuel schleis designed the patches.. but i don't like the leads.. you can do this with z3ta or superwave.. but the pad around 4:00 is awesome!

King

looks very sexy

still in love with my novation vstation though

only drawback is it crashes all the time on load...bloody thing

To further that, for those of us who bought JunoX2 when it was out and found they'd stopped updating it will get Vanguard Lite for free!! (Vanguard with no effects) How cool is that? Nice little prezzie!

Those reFX guys have some amazing software. Although I don't usually use their plugins, when I do actually institute them they usually shine like glitter. The frequencies they produce when programmed correctly have such a real substance to them. On occasion I make sounds on the plastiCZ that with a little EQing will sing sounds that'll make you cry. I'll definitely give this new plugin some immediate attention when it's released.

As for that demo.. I just listened to it and.. Well.. Pretty much "Holy Shit, That's a softsynth?"

In the end it wont be free because the effects probably make the sound. There is also no MIDI-processors (Arpeggitator, Glide, Pitch and Hermode-Tuning) in the lite version. But im pretty sure the upgrade is dirt cheap.

Dog Running

to me refx has made a humongous step from the predeccesor, junox2.. which wasnt far as good as vanguard.. cant wait, hope it isnt a cpu hogger.

good stuff

At the moment develops reFX VANGUARD which will be the JunoX2 successor. VANGUARD will be available from the middle of February, 2004.

VANGUARD will appear in two different versions: VANGUARD LITE and VANGUARD.

VANGUARD LITE will be available exclusively and free of charge for JunoX2 owner - besides, JunoX2 owner have to acquire the possibility a reasonable Upgrade on VANGUARD.

VANGUARD LITE becomes no effects (trance gate, Delay? Reverb) and MIDI processors (Arpeggitator, Glide, Pitch and Hermode-Tuning) own. All other Features (new oscillators, new filters etc) are identical in both versions.

The price of VANGUARD and the Upgrade is announced shortly here.
