yes it is a downgrade, thats what the guy also told me. but i didnt like the feel on the pcv275, which is why i got rid of it.
I still have my Vestax PCV-275, I've had is for over a year and I think if I was going to upgrade I would invest in a DJM600 or maybe A-H xone 62. I havent used the berhinger before. btw has anyone heard anything about the Pioneer DJM 909 with the touch screen?
i also forgot to add that i dont liek the coulour of pcv275, its ugly for some reason.
You should have told me, I would have gone out and bought a VMX300 and traded you straight up for it . . .
seriously though, who cares how it looks, its functionality and reliability that matters . . .
The sound quality on the DJX700 is certainly nothing to be proud of. I can only guess that the sound quality on the VMX300 is equal if not worse.

I'm looking to ged rif of my 275, but that's to upgrade to the Denon 1500 or the A&H 62....
Damn, I would have bought a vmx300 just to trade you! I guess it's more important to be comfortable with your equipment, but damn, that's a downgrade.
well if i had the money to upgrade it i would have. i didnt have no cash so i had to get someting as a "equal trade". in other words, i had to get rid of the pcv 275 as soon as possible, or else i would have threw it out my window, damn i hate that mixer.

Vestax mixers are bomb but what sucks about them is the split-cue monitoring. They don't offer stereo monitoring.
That's why I don't own one.

The only thing i would trade my pvc270a (same as 275) is a 4 or more channel pioneer mixer
i have a pmc170a and i still love it. if i had the money then i'd upgrade to a xone62
i'm in the process of upgrading from my numark dxm-06 to an ecler smac pro30 or pro40. those mixers are soooooo nice. screw pioneer. here check a link http://www.audio-depot.com/cgi-bin/...8.19769&pid=719 cant wait cant wait! only another week.

Yeah perhaps it's a litte ugly but then it's not about what it looks like at the end of the day. You even see the 275 in clubs sometimes. Cheers Nem |

An upgrade would be me going from my Gemini PS676Pro 2 --> Pioneer DJM600 (which hopefully happens this summer). But an upgrade can also be viewed as something that makes you feel more comfortable with what you are using, whether it is DJ equipment or sporting goods, or what ever...
It personal preferance everyone.. Stop bashing on the guy. Even I don't agree with his choice,, but it is "HIS CHOICE"... If he feels more comfortable mixing with it than he will prolly spin better...
I know THIS will sound nutty, but I feel UNCOMFORTABLE on my mates Tech 12's when I am at his place mixing... But when I am at home on MY Gemini PT-2100's I feel SOOO much more comfortable and can actually mix better. I ain't saying that my decks are better, I'm not even HINTING at that.. LOL its just that My decks are what I have gotten USE to using, and I can "feel" how they react better than the odd time I spin on my mates Tech's. I will eventually upgrade to Techs when mine can't hold pitch anymore and only then.
ANYWAYS.. back to the topic.. If he feels more comfortable on the VMX300 (which is still a good)... then he should be more comfortable when DJing... We all know that there is no worse feeling that not being comfortable behind the decks...
So give the guy some breathing room..
Moonshine.. Hope you are enjoying your *new* mixer.
Cheers.
