NEW SHOW featuring Australian DJs on ETS-Global.org (poll)

Greetings trance fans! I meant to announce this last week for the premiere episode but I dropped the ball... ETS Global has picked up a new show by an excellent Australian trance DJ named Rob Solaris called "Take Off" which will also occasionally feature other great AU guest DJs.

The initial time we decided was 22:00 EST Friday, which I believe is 14:00 SATURDAY in Australia? I might be an hour or two off.. but even the killer premiere episode only had between 8 and 15 listeners on the Australian server, so I'm thinking that might not be the best time for listeners on Saturday in Australia.... since I'm wayyyy over here in America, I'd like to throw it out as a poll for you AU trance fans.. what time is a good time for people on saturday to listen to internet radio? or should we change the day entirely?

This week's episode will play at the scheduled time, but depending on response to this thread we might change the time and/or day next week

Yeah that would be great! I think Thursday would probably be best but Friday is definately better than Saturday.

Nah man, 8 is a great time. People don't go out THAT early. Even 10 is pretty early in my opinion. But any of those two times would be great for a warm up before heading out

Oh yeah, and congrats to Rob! All his sets are excellent!

thanks guys... could someone maybe help me out a little giving out the link on some australian sites or something? response has been a little less than I expected heh..

and yeah Rob's sets are REALLY good... us missing the show Friday was TOTALLY my fault I gave him the wrong info for my temporary ftp server to send the mix to since my main one is down while I'm getting a new motherboard for it. sorry about that.

so far: it looks like people would rather have the show friday, what I might do is put it either before or after the AU replay of the previous week's 'A State of Trance' show that I run at 04:00 my time Friday morning, which I believe is about 18:00 or 19:00 in australia... putting it right next to a show I already set up for AU every week anyway (that I remember ... which I've been good about lately)

8:00 thurs or fri sounds good

and everyone should tune in and show some support for the local talent

Thursday isn't a really big going out night in Aus (Perth anyways) so I would have thought something like 8-10pm is good?

I think you're about right Alicia.. people were voting (I hope they realize) for 8pm on SATURDAY. I am basing his show off of what time the AUSTRALIANS want to hear it, and then dealing with converting the time back to when I air it myself
I knew Australia was either 12 or 14 hours AHEAD of me.. looks like it's 14, so ALL the times on THIS particular poll are for SATURDAY, when we've been having little to no listeners.. that's why I wanted to take input from this forum on when the australians would like to hear the show, and then I'll just calculate that back to my time.

The time zone means that my replay of "A State of Trance" that I've been running at 04.00 FRIDAY has been happening at 18:00 Australian time on Friday evenings. I don't know if this is a good time or bad time for you all, because I'm never awake then

Looks like everyone seems to think around 8pm on Thursday would be a good night for the show, so for the next couple weeks I'm going to try for that.

Take Off will air (around) 20:00 AUSTRALIAN time on THURSDAYS, and be followed by a replay of the PREVIOUS week's "A State of Trance with Armin van Buuren".

I will then replay Take Off again for the US/European listeners Friday morning.

FYI - the LIVE broadcast of A State of Trance happens Thursday at 20:00 in Holland, which is 14:00 US Eastern time, which is 06:00 AM, Friday in Australia.

E-vangelist, 8pm thursday night is sweet as!

Followed by ASOT is even better! i know what i'll be tuning into on thurs nights from now on
