Question Sensation 2004

Does anyone have any information on Sensation 2004?

Where will it be held at this year?
What dates (for white and black)?
Cost?

I'm in the USA but will be flying out for the show as soon as I can get some information on it. Thanks!

Like I said before on another thread, i'm all about a meet up as I'm travelling around Europe by myself so it would be cool to meet some people.

Damn

[20:34] nope, no Sensation for me this year
[20:39] I dunno... guess ID&T has other plan
[20:40] no, we're working on several other gigs
[20:40] I'm not playing Sensation. But maybe it's good to give other people a chance

i have said it multiple times here on TA.

If you go to europe and you spend some much money for the trip please go to a real party! NOT SENSATION I repeat NOT SENSATION

Real partys are:

Dance Valley
Mysteryland
Love Parade
Ibiza
Nature One
Awakenings
Extrema

well, like i've said before haha, sensation happens to be one of the few parties i'll actually be over there for (i'm doing a study abroad). However, I will also be at Love Parade, and of course make a pilgramage to Ibiza

A lot of people told me not to go to sensation, but nobody has really told me why. Could you please explain?

I am also attending love parade and making the journey to ibiza. Please try to keep in mind that in Kentucky we don't even have clubs really...let alone these huge parties. So I'm sure I'll have a good time wherever I end up, even if it is sensation white.

well if you are used to kentucky party standards sensation is one hell of a party. the show is great and the dresscode is nice. Conclusion sensation is a good party

BUT In holland we have so much better partys to offer! Really!

Dance Valley for instance: 60 000 party people. 3 outdoor stages. 13 tents. All big name djs! you can say the complete dj mag 100. Mainstage situated on a giant hill ( well giant hill for dutch standard) Dance valley is during the day what is nice espacially when the sun is shining and all girls are walking in bikini. Atmosphere is more laidback. Many people go to sensation with an attitude like; Look at me! I am soooo great! And yeah sensation is more about the show than the music.

Than we have Mysteryland: Situated on an old flower and garden exhibition terrain. Also with a giant hill in the middel. Also little canals were you can chill at the waterside. Attendence is about 40 000 people and also big name djs spin there. The theme mystery is very nice converted in the party decor!

nature one: 3 day party on an old navo war base! Very nice, very nice crowd. Al lot of vistors from various countrys! All kinds of dance music!

Awakenings: 25 000 people techno party near amsterdam. All big name techno djs! Nice location, lazers show is superb

Extrema: most laidback party in the netherlands. atmosphere is very very very friendly. Location is nice. Styles: espacially groove, progressive, trance, techno!

Also the amount of dutch Ta members wich attended sensation last 4 years is not much. And we know what is good and bad in the dutch partyscene.

Well if I was you, I would want just the best of the best during my stay in europe and netherlands. LoveParade is nice, Ibiza is the worlds EDM mekka but yeah sensation . Just go to dance valley or mysteryland you will have much more fun there.

august 7. rumours are saying that they have to switch it to august 14 because a lack of police coverage. But no official dance valley organisation statements are yet made public. The traditionall dance valley date is first saturday of august so I think it will be august 7. check www.dancevalley.nl and www.udc.nl .

Dance valley is held near amsterdam on a festival-naturepark terrain called spaarnwoude.

Ok thanks for the info - basvh!

the reason of the lack of police coverage is that on august 7 there is also a racing day near dance valley festival terrain. But I see that the racing day changed to august 8. So it is almost 100% sure that august 7 will be the correct day. They are also talking with local authorities of a 2 day dance valley. Friday and saturday but everything is still a bit blur.

You know, our standards are just a lot higher. I remember all these foreign TA's enjoying Trance Energy so much, while we found it cheap looking and even a bit boring.

For many people abroad, a full football stadium with 40000 visitors and trance music would be heaven. We (it's a Dutch thing I guess) complain about the bad vibes and the lousy sound system.

Maybe it's better they first visit those 'commercial' parties, before attending those special events like Loveparade, Nature One, Dance Valley and Mysteryland. They will run into new surprises when they come back again, instead of getting a party overdose the first time.

Some of us are lucky bastards, especially those German and Dutch ravers who have been there from the beginning: Mayday, Mysteryland, Thunderdome, Innercity... We've seen it all, we're really hard to impress. For a newcomer, especially from the States, our dance culture will blow their socks of, even at Sensation.

We're a small country leading the world in dance music. We should guide them along the way
