Derrick May is one of the founding fathers of Detroit Techno and dance music in general. I'd assume he plays techno. Might be worth it to see since you can say you've seen a legend in the world of dance music.
Miguel Migs plays really sexy deep house... He's on the Naked Music label if that helps... If it's in a lounge like atmosphere, this makes great background music but it's kinda hard to dance to.
Not familiar with Tortured Soul.
I would go for Derrick May alone, he's a legend, but granted he's nothing near trance.
The best parties I've been too were when I didn't know about the djs.
No expectations and everything is a surprise!

Miguel Migs is a great DJ. Yeah sexy house, beachy stuff, i wouldnt say chill, but he does both chill and dancable music. Funny you mention this, i had this dream yesterday i was at one of his gigs, even though ive never seen him live.
Dj vendetta your a knob. He may not be your style, but derrik may, as was previously pointed out, was one of the people who started it all. to say nope then not back it up with anything, just shows how ignorant you are of the dance music scene.
go and read up on the guy, i think you'll be surprised.
I seen may he was pretty good! u should go se all of them its a different experience plus u got nothing to loose! if u dont like it leave if u do stay!

the only thing is it's a $35 cover... pretty
steep for those guys eh?
If you like techno I wouldn't miss Derrick May!. He with Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson were the founders of techno borned in Detroit.
Let's get it right people
Juan Atkins really started it all with Cybotron in 1983 then the Belleville 3 (atkins, may and saunderson, who all went to school together, tho it was may, saunderson and juan's brother aaron who were in the same class). Derrick May is known as the one who broke techno to a wider audience with rhythim is rhythim, which really pushed techno to others, who decided to make techno. Without May, techno would not exist as it does today. DJ Anthony Ross needs to do some reading on his music history. Derrick May is a great deejay, total pompous asshole and ego maniac as a person. If you get to ask him a question, ask him why he blackballed Blake Baxter from detroit.
