Okay, well the first thing that I recommend is that you get yourself some better kick samples. I can barely make out your kick amongst all the other channels.

For one of your first tracks though, its pretty good. A hell of a lot better than anything I ever produced in reason during the first few months. Your synths seem okay, nothing to write to santa claus about but they are not piss weak, just a little commercial styled.

Unfortunately, this song is cheese and no matter what you do to it, it will remain cheese. Just my opinion of course. Nice attempt though.

A few little things, the song lacked energy and momentum. The clap outplays the hihats and so you get this stomping movement rather than a fluid one. Also the lack of a dominant kick doesn't help either.

Keep up the nice work though mate, it will all come together.

thanks.. yeah i did notice that the kick was a little weak.. i tried fixing that by adding 2 kick drum layers

but apparently taht didnt do much

ill try increasing the level of the kick on the redrum machine itself

intresting note about the high hat and clap

ill take that into consideration

thanks for the quick feedback

Try to compress the kick with a very short attack and a relatively short release, and then increase its volume. This way it should be more powerful. The idea behind the song is pretty original. Also, try doubling on your synths to make it thicker and more prominent. I think you're out of tune big time and unless that was your goal, I would change that first.
Just my opinion
Cheers

are u talking about out of tune in comparison to the original song.. or just in general.. i tried to follow the chords of the original song.. but varied it a bit.

do you suggest i have an entire sequence layer in reason to compress the bass kick?

since i have all my percussion on one sequencer layer.. since i created the beat using re drum?

or should i export it to another program and add compression then?
