satelliterecords

satelliterecords.com has a listening booth, and it includes all categories that you mentioned. I hope that is what you are referring to as samples. It's actual streaming samples that you can listen to before buying a record or if you just want to listen to samples online (you can't save them).

No problem man.

Future Producers is a good website if you are into the production end of things...if you haven't heard of it yet. Nice site, alot of resources.

Posted by patticus on Aug-13-2001 20:27:

hey how do you convert these samples into a format that reason can recognize?

Posted by havok118 on Aug-14-2001 13:56:

It depends upon what kind of samples you are getting.

If you download say, a Roland-909, you can simply open the .wav files up in redrum.

That's the easiest way...I'll post later how to do it with the subtractor or sampler, I'm at work, and I can't remember.

You might need to get your hands on Recycyle, that's a good program to fuck with samples.

Sometimes I even use redrum to trigger various (non-drum)samples.

thanks i'll try this out.
