Question the armin/uplifting chord sound

havent seen this posted anywhere..
i have a jp8080 and im wondering, generally, what is the upliftiing chord sound.. a bass sound tuned up? just would like to know how I could make this on the jp, or any softsynth..
heres an example.. need more explanation let me know..
(btw this one was with a nordlead from the vengeance set.. and since its crisp and clear and not from a song it can be easier to identify)
http://www.insanegamers.net/dj-rob/mp3/thesound.mp3

any thoughts???

well since im getting my nord tommorow i can tell u wen i mess around with it hehe

Posted by thecYrus on Feb-22-2004 10:57:

hey, that's a very simple sound.. you can recreate it with almost every synth.. you must only use very low decay and sustain..

its a waldorf microwave !

greetz

no, that sample is from the nord..

I just wanna know how to make it on the jp.. everytime i get close it sounds kinda too liquidy and not as powerful as what it should sound like.

yup, great sound. More detail everyone

Nice sound. Reason subtraktor can do it too (almost) hOw about the DEFAULT sound with delay , reverb and tweak LP12 cutoff filter button. And right hands with two fingers high octave notes and left hand one finger low octave ... is it right?? MIDI anyone? :P

But any tips are here very welcome. Good topic

it's a high vioce4/polyphony FM synth...with all voices synced.

maybe this ones done with a nord lead...but the original that the most one use in their tracks is a preset sounds from the microwave I

But you can't just take the sound from the synth and expect it to sound like in an Armmin track. Use an EQ and reverb to improve the sound, then maybe you come very close to the original sound.

Unfortunately very good hardware effects are quite expensive, but that's the difference...

It's kinda simple.

Here's a midi and a reason 2.5 file with that chord:

http://www.trancefussion.com/mp3s/armin-chord.mid
http://www.trancefussion.com/mp3s/armin-chord.rns

I didn't have to change anything to the substracktor synth, I used the default sound. The thing is to use a low key with a mid-oct high key like Sebraaa12 said.

cheers!

WOW my favourite is that JP8xxx clip. It's better than Armins hehe
Nice job! And nice synths too.

By the way-> Please please, we need at least three octaves of that JP8xxx samples as NN19 patch. Thanks in advance.

Dirty Ice,

Could you give us a little tutorial on how you got that on the JP? I tried for a little while, but stopped. I'd like to see how you got it.

This is what I made with reason and subtracktor with very slight modifications:

http://www.trancefussion.com/mp3s/armin-chord.mp3

sounds pretty solid right there.
