It does not surprise me if the Football program did have strippers (prostitutes) brought to the rooms of prospects. College football is big business and you have to get the best players any wya you can, unfortunately.
I do think that Gary Barnett was totally out of line and very un-professional in his coments directed towards the young lady who was a kicker there and has alleged that she was raped by another team member.
We shall wiat and see how it pans out, my guess is Barnett will be let go and will find a job and another unscrupulous university soon.
MrS
I have no objective reason to believe the accusers rather than the accused at this time. Perhaps it's merely my ignorance, but I haven't heard of any credible evidence to support these allegations... at all.
i actually know quite a lot about this case that you probably won't hear on the news because i know someone at the CU police department who goes through all the reports hehehe, but i was just curious what everyone thought and i hadn't seen a thread on it yet...
also, they aren't going to fire Barnett because he has a like 4.6 million dollar contract. if they fire him, he still gets all of it, so instead they are gonna try and force him into resignation so they don't have to pay him...
i don't know...sports is tricky. of course all this stuff goes on, but i'm a big believer in the girls put themselves in bad positions and from what i've seen at college usually encourage this type of behaviour..

This is what universities get for going into the ghetto to dig up people who can dunk a basketball or run a post pattern. No concern for academic ability, only a concern for winning. They should be prepared for any and all consequences from their actions. The girl at Colorado had no place on that team. It was like throwing her into a men's prison.
Here at Wisconsin, we've had 2 "stupid athlete" cases in the last month. Early in February, one of the starters on the basketball team wringed his hands around his girlfriend's neck. Just last night, the football team's leading rusher from last season assaulted a 19-year-old girl. You recruit stupid, you get stupid.
I have no respect for Gary Barnett. It's interesting when confronted with rape allegations his reponse is to discredit the accuser by attacking her talent as a football player. So Gary your saying if only she was a better football player we could believe her alegations.
For those of you who believe its an isolated incident read this account from another woman...
"In another case, according to police records released Wednesday, a woman in the athletic department claimed she was raped by a player and when she told Barnett about it, she quoted him as saying he "would back his player 100 percent if she took this forward in the criminal process."
