Above and Beyond - No One on Earth
I know there's a thread about the G&D remix of the song, but I was wondering who got the chance to listen to the original version of the song. How does the original compare to the G&D remix?
For me, I'd prefer the original version. Other than the fact that it's more "trancey", I like the use of the piano in the song. The chords in the original give the song a more "mellowed out" feeling, as opposed to the "dark and gloomy" sounds of the Gabriel & Dresden Remix. I still think the lyrics are horrible, but the placement of phrases in the Original is just a little better.
Thoughts?

Heard only Gabriel & Dresden mix on Transphere... vocals are soooo sweeeet!!
Original Mix is much better than G&B Remix. Melody and vocals are great but i miss that flowing bassline which was in Far from in love. But definetely a hot tune.
definately prefer original, much more emotion in it. g&d mix isnt very good imo.
Wait till you hear their big room remix style (i dont know the official name of it yet) but i heard this in a sample and it blew me away!
original over the g&d remix anytime...the original is simply more uplifting and passionate to the ear, while the g&d remix has its own thing going on...not that i am bashing on g&d...but i was disappointed their remix of No One On Earth was not as great as their earlier remixes...
the lyrics (and I repeat, the *lyrics*) are just ummm blahhhh. They're average and just boring-leading-to-nowhere, I mean ... how many times have you heard the phrase "you've came to save me" on trance songs, blahhh, gets me quite mad in some sense, cause the vocals (now i'm really talking about the vocals) sound quite beautiful.
Anyway, I haven't really heard the original enough times to make an absolute rule out, but the G&D remix is my favourite so far.
Well I like the G&D mix ... really nice build and tripped out synths, good work from the boys I reckon. Haven't heard the original but am intrigued now after thew descriptions here
definetly the original all the way..
its a little slower for the Above & Beyond name but it is still quality
i got the gabriel and dresden mix and it sounds like yazoo - don't go...anyone else noticed it??
