You seem to be coming out with a lot of tracks recently. Indicates that maybe you are rushing a bit and not spending as much time on each track as you should. I havent listened to this track yet (can't atm, but will when i get the chance), but just take things slow and finish one thing before you start another.

Posted by seantyas on Feb-24-2004 20:25:

you say that before ya listen? haha its ok, i know what i looks like, but i just wanna lay down as much as i can before slumming it back to work... is that a bad thing?

Posted by StealthAssassin on Feb-24-2004 21:41:

There's no way this was rushed. I think it's pretty damn good, love the epic Rocky-like synth going on in the middle of the track. The syncapation (spelling?) is spot on, had to listen to it twice just to make sure. The only grip I had was it was too short.

Posted by seantyas on Feb-24-2004 22:29:

thanks man, i appreciate that... tho i did do this track (and the others) kinda quick.. i definitely never rush... you know how when ya do things over and over ya just do it faster each time...

i think tomorrow ill dedicate to going over the rush of songs and tweak a bit to make sure everything is 100% the way its intended to be..

thanks again, glad ya like it !!

You must have got in the zone, cause I do that too. I bang stuff out quickly too, that's all I'll concentrate on til it's to my liking.

Posted by seantyas on Feb-24-2004 22:46:

ahh see you know exactly how it is!!

Posted by M1cro5lave on Feb-24-2004 23:12:

Wow, I like the melody! Reminds me of something, can't figure out what it is..
Basslines sounds great, kicks and percussion are combined in a professional way
And I agree, you don't just spit out a track like this so fast, only professionals do. Maybe that's what you are?

Well, I loved it! Great work seantyas!

thank you m1cro!! but no, im actually a lowly carpenter i friggin WISH this was my profession!!

Like I said, I haven't listened to it yet, it could be the best track ever I'll take a listen tomorrow and give you more valuable feedback. It's just I've found it helps to slow things down and concentrate on each section of a track rather than to make all of the patterns and paint them across the playlist as fast as possible. If you can find a way to compromise speed and quality though, more power to you.

Posted by seantyas on Feb-25-2004 05:27:

haha its ok, i can imagine my posts of late make me look like i have a bottomless ritilin prescription...

Sounds awesome...keep it up, you have great ideas.

Posted by The Designer on Feb-25-2004 13:36:

Pros:

Nice composing.

Cons:

Too dry. ( reverb )

Posted by seantyas on Feb-25-2004 13:41:

in the past i have had to remove so much reverb from projects... i keep most of my stuff light in the verb until it is required to dump more in... don't forget about club acoustics

Posted by seantyas on Feb-25-2004 14:36:

fiiiiiiiiiiiine i dripped in a lil more reverb.. especially on the lead.. i figured just a touch more couldnt hurt

final mix... see? no new tracks today.. gonna debrief myself on the sstuff done in the last 2 weeks and see what needs tweaks. or mebeb vocals?

Posted by State of Matter on Feb-25-2004 23:29:

This sounds great, very polished work. Maybe you're just fast

Melody sounds very cool, and you've got nice effects going.

The synth that comes in the middle sounds a little dry. Not reverb wise but just in general.

Synths when everything come in sound a bit flat but the melody is great.

Im craving more bass action though.
