What do you listen to besides EDM?

Just out of curiosity, what other music do you guys listen to? I personally listen to a lot of metal, rap, classical mostly when I'm not listening to trance.

what do you mean by classical? Any music that pre-dates the 20th Century, or the actual period itself. I seldom listen to classical music, but i do indeed listen to a great deal of chant and orchestral pieces from the Romantic and Baroque periods. Besides western music, (which I tend to be less intrigued by) I listen to many of South-Asian pieces.

There was one point that I became rather immersed in A-tonal music, but that seldom occurs outside of the winter.

Rock and classic rock some regge shite like tropical stuff. It puts me in a good mood on these winter days. Oh yes and classical.

and classical. and some light / slow rock. and evanescence cuz that gets a category of its own.

Posted by FuzzE on Feb-25-2004 03:19:

mezzir - hell yeaaa.

I'm sick of this Chingy/P.Daddy/50-Pence-G-Unit bullshit.

Anything on BET and topping Billboard, in terms of hip-hop, usually blows wrinkled penguin penis.

I love Aesop Rock's Big Bang, Nas's Purple, Zion I's Let It Flow, Grouch & Eligh's No More Greener Grass + Mr. President, Talib Kweli's Love Language.

I never thought I could like hip-hop.
Things change though.

But...

In Trance We Trust

Mostly hard rock/metal. Also getting more into rap which is quite worrying

For soft listening I prefer guitar pop (The Cardigans, Lene Marlin and such).

The Doors, Duran Duran, Miles Davis, Elliot Smith, Buju Banton, Black Uhuru, Jimi Hendrix, Hamza El Din, Depeche Mode, Punjabi folk music, Arcadia, At The Drive In, Capleton, Beres Hammond, Zakir Hussain, Ramnad Krishnan, Ud Taqsim & Pasta, vajrayana ceremonies, chanting of the suttas in sanskrit, Mars Volta, Skinny puppy, Bowie, Fela Kuti, New Order, Ok tired of typing.

Posted by M1cro5lave on Feb-25-2004 07:38:

It would be Rock/metal.
Pain, In Flames, Metallica and Hammerfall. Don't really listen to it that much, mostly Pain though, they're really good. Rob Zombie has some incredible stuff too
